Re: Samsung Syncmaster 713N
It looks like the ribbon to the T-con might not be fitted correctly or it might need a clean. Double check the connections.
If that doesn't make a difference then I think we need to get you to do some more testing.Comment

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 713N
There should be a cable that is attached to the main board ( signal board, logic board ) try taking it out and re attaching it again.Comment

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 713N
We mean the end of the cable where it attaches to the screen panel.
Have you done that end or just the board end. Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 713N
Ok I did that (see the picture to know if we meant the same).
But there is something weird , in my first video I posted , when I turned monitor on it went from white to blue and to black.
Now it went from white to blue then some weird lines blinked and then it went to black. There is some difference now and before but I dont know does it mean anything ? You can see the new video.

Re: Samsung Syncmaster 713N
Not sure what the change on the video means .
No that is not the lvds cable it is the one that goes to the board attached to the panel/screen with lots of wires (Look mainly Blue& white?) in it. Checking for broken pins.
Something I dont think you have done since replacing the transistors is to test the output voltages from the power board (the socket with the black and red cable). These need checking with it all switched on and connected up.

by momakaNormally, I never post repairs this quick after I do them, because… I am usually very slow.
But today, I’m making an exception here. Why? No idea. Perhaps only because the repair details are still “fresh” in my head… which is ironic, given this is a 16 year old monitor that hardly anyone will care about today. It is new to me, though.
I picked it up last November from someone on my local Craigslist. It wasn’t very close to where I live, but was close to a family friend that I had to go visit anyways. So after watching the posting on Craigslist for a few weeks and seeing it getting...

Hello everyone!
Since I didn't find it anywhere and only found some YouTube videos on other monitors, I'd like to show you how I "repaired" my monitor.
I put the word repaired quotation marks because I really dont know if this is a permanent fix, since I just removed some resistors and did not really replace anything.
It was all about my monitor only showing weird vertical lines.
In my research I found out that some CKV lines seemed to be shorted. The recommended way to fix this was disconnecting them.

by CptChronicI have an intermittent display problem with my monitor, when I plug in the HDMI cable to my (or any) laptop, you see the connection screen shrink on the laptop as it usually would before displaying on the monitor but 95% of the time the monitor display stays black.
Before it cut out all together, tapping the monitor control button a fair few times would make the screen display, and everything work fine.
But now it never does it. Not sure what's going on, hoping someone can help. I'm capable of stripping the thing down and soldering in new parts if needed, or programming...-

by momakaLooking through my repair pictures and notes, it's been a long time since I posted anything in the LCD monitors section. So here goes that.
I'm dedicating this thread to one of the very first LCD monitors I repaired (if not the first one), which was more than 10 years ago now. The monitor is a Wise Wing, model F199. It's a 19” CFL-backlit LCD. I got it for free off of Craigslist in 2009 from a guy, who said he bought it for cheap from Wallmart and the monitor worked only for a little less than 2 years before quitting.
When I saw the Craigslist post, I wasn't...-
