    VP201b Viewsonic

I bought 4 Viewsonic vp201b's about 3 years ago and all four went out within the same month about 2 years later. I sent all 4 off for repair at $100.00 each plus 25.00 shipping each way. Now they have all gone out again and I am not sending them back again.

To make a long story short, I can't even get the dam cover off to get to the electronics. I found the four screws (on each corner) but what is next?

OK, I got it apart. The trick is two screws behind the stand. Now I need a power supply ADP-60BF A for the VP201b moniter. I found a place in China but they are all out. Now what?

Are you sure it's not bad caps?

Take some pics, maybe we can help.
List the brand, series, capacitance and volts.

Looking for help with a Viewsonic VP230mb where the backlight comes on only momentarily
            by lostone
Hello, I came here after finding some similar questions asked on other monitors and hope someone here can help me get an ancient Viewsonic VP230mp (23" 4:3 LCD) back to working condition.

First a little background, I have a background in computer and electrical engineering, and I'm smart enough to know I know nothing about LCD displays and how they work. For this topic I'm as green as they come.
When the display is turned on the viewsonic logo displays in the uppper left for 2 seconds then the screen goes black, the power LED is green (on) and when a computer is connected...

            Problem

This is an LG edge LED lit LCD Display. The LEDs are on the bottom edge of the display. There are 2 bars (left and right) Each bar has many LEDs and a 6 pin connector. Each pin drive several LEDs thus is the highest current flow / heat junction. The weak lead free solder gradually fails with thermal expansion/contraction cycling and increases resistance. PSU will compensate up to a point, then when the current is too high, PSU just shut down the backlight causing a dark display. I have even seen one which the connector just fell off as solder points became completely detached....

Anyone repaired Ionmax ION390? I have extra screws :(
            by Widget
            Hi all,

Re-assembling a Ionmax ION390 air purifier after removing the top LCD control panel, I seem to have 2 extra screws that I, for the life of me, cannot see where they go. I've taken a couple of pictures, buuuuut there's always that one picture you need, but you didn't take :/.

I know it's a long-shot but has anyone repaired this before would have an idea?...
