samsung 305t - left side of the screen "shadows"

    Hi,

I am not sure if this is problem with caps or something, but here are my symptoms.

One day, suddenly, after reboot, left side of the screen started showing bad colors and VERY slow refresh rate. Everything is delays for couple of seconds, so if you have a window and close it, it will still be visible for next 5-10 seconds.

Right side of the screen works perfect as usual.

Center of the screen is a bit flickery.

Attached is the picture of color distortion. The image is blue color full screen, and you can see that left side is not blue at all.

When I turn on the screen with no computer connected, it starts rotating colors. Red, Green, Blue.

The strangest things of all is that every once in a while, the monitor starts working perfect again. The picture looks great for couple of hours, and then it goes bad again, especially if I let the monitor go to stand-by.

Does anyone has any ideas what could be the problem and how to fix it ?

The screen is out of warranty, so I can't expect anything from official service.

    thanks,

    dz.

Take it apart and post clear focused pictures of all the boards using the manage attachments function. Please do not post pictures inline as they slow down the loading of pages.

Here is an example of the pictures we want.

If you are new to this forum, we can help a lot more if you please post clear focused pictures (max resolution 2000x2000 and 2MB) of your boards using the manage attachments button so they are hosted here. Information and picture clarity compositions should look like this post.

We respectfully ask that you make some time and effort to read some of the guides available for basic troubleshooting. After you have read through them, then ask clarification questions or report your findings.

Please do not post inline and offsite as they slow down the loading of pages.
