    Same problem...
Blue light all time, without any response on click any button and nothing displaying on the screen.
Caps are okay, not swollen. ¿What can I do?

Dixie, Behemot, juggernaut... Anyone that had the same issue, have you solved that?

Post good clear pictures of the front and back of your boards.

Use manage attachments and use jpgs less than 3mb
Please upload pictures using attachment function when ask for help on the repair

        Re: Samsung syncmaster 205bw

So I'm having the same troubles, solid blue on the power light, no display or response to buttons. My computer does recognize it as a display when it's plugged in. I haven't switched out the capacitors, but I'm not seeing any bulging, and the earlier posts that say they switched and saw no change worry me. I've attached the pictures, any thoughts on a move forward is mighty appreciated. This is my first shot at fixing a monitor, hoping to get it working...

Can you see image with flashlight?

Lately the price of generic power supplies with inverters is dropping so there is a possibility of using universal board if the repair fails.

Yep, fully reassembled and plugged in. Computer recognized two screens, nothing on the monitor with or without flashlight. Had a bit of a misstep forgetting to plug the display ribbon cable back in, thankfully noticed that the second time around

If you still cannot see anything than possibly the signal board is bad as long as not only the backlight does not work but also there is no image at all.

Check that the PSU is supplying all the rails it should be, and they are correct. Check any regulators on the logic board and make sure they are working too

i have a 205bw and just repair it,
                      i changed 5 caps (3 blowed)
but when i power up i have black screen (only power led is blue)
for test i disconnect all CCFL and i power off / on the screen
after some try (2-5) the psu whistling,
i disconnect AC and repeat the on / off with front button
when the psu whistling at all start,
i reconnect all CCFL, the screen works ,
i go on service menu, and all seem to be reset (i have 0 hour at all line),
need to be more tested but for now the screen start up normally
