    Acer AL1916W Abd Monitor not coming on

    Good Day folks!

    Firstly it's an honor to be surrounded by Experienced Electronic Techs like yourselves. I've been reading up on my particular monitor for a while now on this site... however i've run into a little problem. I dont seem to find a part number for the particular Transformer that i'm looking for, and I also still have the backlight problem with the green power light.

    On the Power / Inverter board there is a transformer that has a Yellow band around it, according to the sticker on it, it's a
    DG10001820I
    T2403A5127907

    I couldn't seem to find this particular one...

    My Power supply has the Transformer with the yellow band so it's a slight variation of this PCB. I dont have the particular one infront of me right now, not sure if anyone else could help me with locating the part?
    I'm not sure i can attach images as yet but i'll try.

        Hi, and welcome.
        First question, are you sure it's bad? Are both sides bad?
        I don't find that part number when searching, but if you know the resistance, you can ballpark a replacement at www.lcdparts.net

        I have 2 monitors here that need new transformers. One is very similar to yours, just haven't bothered to get one yet. I keep hoping I'll get a monitor with a bad panel and the same transformer.
        36 Monitors, 3 TVs, 4 Laptops, 1 motherboard, 1 Printer, 1 iMac, 2 hard drive docks and one IP Phone repaired so far....

          Thanks Smason, oh yea it's bad lol ... i'm not sure if you could see from my pics but one of the fine wires on the Transformer coils is no longer connected ... I would love to get my hands on that Transformer to go through the rest of the steps quoted on that forum i posted earlier...

            Here's a pic of the Inverter Board, I may have found the item on Ebay though... but i need to be 100% sure

              It is not uncommon for the manufacturer to use different power boards and/or revisions.

              The inverter transformer numbers do not match so I would not expect this part to work given the above statement.

                This might also be the MAX810 reset controller located at U406 on the main board. Not the power board. It's very common with this model. It causes a no power problem. You can read about it in this thread.
