Hello,
This LCD of ours went down Monday morning with the fast blinking blue LED. The board model is FSP050-2L02.
As expected, 6 of 8 470μF 24V capacitors are pretty obviously bad, so I will go ahead and replace all of them.
I also found 2 components that had released their smoke-packet contents. The problem I'm having is identifying these two parts. The first and most difficult is labeled on the board as ZD662. It blew with enough enthusiasm to shatter its glass casing and put a pit in the board. As such, the labeling is completely gone, leaving me without a way to identify its specifications. I assume this is a zener diode. There is another one around the corner with "44A" (8.2V, I guess) printed on the glass, but I don't know what forward voltage that means it has, nor if this is the same rating as the one that went poof.
The other part is an adjacent resistor, labelled as R662 on the board. It wasn't damaged by the zener failure, but it is just faded enough for me to not trust what I'm seeing of the code. It appears to be a 29Ω, but it might be 19Ω. I can't tell if the first stripe is orange or red.
Interestingly, the configuration of my board doesn't match the pictures I have seen in other threads of the same model.
Also, thanks to all who have been providing information here. I've been able to salvage 2 monitors based on information I've gotten here. Hopefully, this will be the third!
