    Green = inverter transformers.
    Red = c5707 -> the part number c5707 is written right on the chip
    Yellow = fu9024

    Normally, we would reference PCB board designations, but your pictures are so poor, it is impossible to read them. If you look at post #12 from PlainBill, he might have listed all the board designations from his own personal notes.

    Set your multimeter on 200 ohms. Any reading below 30 ohms suggests a shorted component.

    The c5707 and fu9024 can be tested "in circuit". Just test every possible combination of pins for shorts. That is, measure the ohms between pin 1-2, 1-3, and 2-3.

    If any of the components are bad, you can order "c5707 kits" on ebay for about $4 to $5 CDN.

    Are the c5705 transistors and fu9024 fets the ones with the heat sinks? There's slight discoloration on the board beneath them. I don't see these ID's marked anywhere on the board. All the transistors are marked with a Q and C for caps at least here in Canada. See pg 61 pic 0107. Also which are the inverter transformers? Sorry about the picture quality, cheap camera = cheap pics. BBT.

    Yes. The identical post showed up in another badcaps.net forum.

    Your picofuse is bad. Before you replace the picofuse, you MUST (MANDATORY) resolder all the inverter transformer pins otherwise the picofuse will likely blow again.

    The c5707 transistors and fu9024 fets may also be shorted out.

    I desoldered the picofuse, with my multimeter set on 2000 I read 583, with it set on 200 I read 1, or open. BBT

    Anything I can see marked PF either has a jumper or nothing at all. BBT.

    If you can't find the fuse please post some pictures that are not blury.WE need to be able to read componet numbers on the board.

    If you look on the bottom of the Power supply board,in the area of the 3 aluminium heatsinks, you will see a component identification 'PF' that is the Pico Fuse, probably green in colour to locate it on the top of the board.

    As you can see from 0015 and 0076, I'm a fitter/welder so please bear with me. Photos attached. the pic you were looking at was the guy online with the similar problem with his benQ monitor. thanks, badbowtie.

    Just so you know cross posting your threads is not going to make people happy here. It confuses people and makes people do double effort. Leave your post in one place (here) and follow the instructions given and people will help.

    Problems with Benq style boards are well known here and we can suggest the proper solutions to fix them.

    Please don't go down the road as the OP.

    Hi Badbow, welcome. The last couple of BENQs I repaired cost about $6.00 Canadian. Sure monitors are cheap, but it's fun to fix 'em and good to keep 'em out of the landfill.

    You should measure the transistors, and the pico fuse, and check the soldering on the transformers.

    Post a good photo of the board and we'll guide you from there.

    I have basically the same symptoms as GASAN with my benq FP767 17" monitor IE power led is on but no image on screen. I"ve taken out the circuit boards to check for anything obvious to no avail, the main fuse is good and its the only one that looks like a fuse. I only have grade 9 electronics 32 years ago so please be patient with me. 1st, I think I remember a transistor has to be removed from the board to be tested. 2nd, on your pic on pg 42, where are the picofuses? I don't even know what a picofuse looks like! I thought they would be "fu9024n" but they're marked q743 and q751 and have 3 leads so I'm assuming they're transistors. A new lcd monitor is about $100. in Toronto, Ontario, Canada So I'm wondering if I should even proceed as I don't know what the parts will cost me. I do know E=IR, LOL.
