    Philips HTL6140B/12 SoundBar no power

    Hello

I have got a defective Philips HTL6140B/12 SoundBar, no power from button or remote.
The power supply is external and working correctly, even tried another one.
Checked caps with esr meter and all seems ok.
Checked various resistors and smd capacitors and they seems ok.

Please help to diagnose this SoundBar.

    Thanks

I can see that they used the type of glue that gets brown and conductive and corrosive of metals. You should carefully remove it.

Yeah, i just noticed it and measured, and it is conductive.

What method can you suggest to remove the glue, and that it wont damage the traces of the ic and the surrounding components?

I have cleaned the glue, it is powering on but all the leds are lit and stuck
          on "ON" on the display.
Buttons not working and remote not working.

          What to check next?

Does someone have experience with serial soundbar firmware update?
It has a serial connection and i have all the tools for this.
            Any guide will be Appreciated.

JBL Soundbar 2.1 Deep Bass PSU No DC Power Output (Detailed, w/ Schematics)
                  by _AcE_
I have two of these soundbars, both with the exact same issue. The soundbars were hit by lightning and no longer power on. The PSU does not output any voltage on the DC side. When plugged into mains, the DC output is a stone-cold 0.0 volts. The AC side of the PSU seems to be functioning correctly (as far as I can tell). When checking the plugged-in PSU with my thermal camera, the OB5269CP PWM controller (U1) and the two resistors (R12 and R13) pulse on and off. These run to the positive DC side of the bridge rectifier (among other components along the way).

                  There's no physical damage...

Desoldering gun station modified to use a 18 volt @ 20 amp switching power supply
                  by sam_sam_sam
I have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump

One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy...

Hello everyone. I'm brand new to the group. I'm trying to fix this Philips 4K TV. I have minimal experience with most of this so forgive me if I don't understand half of what is posted on these forums. I'm trying to find my way through it.
Basically I got the TV from a previous owner who said it just died on them. So I wasn't there when it broke. It will not power on, no lights, no backlight, no sound.
The output of the power supply has a 27 pin connection to the main board. Pins 18-27 (labeled P-On+20v) are the only pins reading power at 12v each. The pins marked ALL+3.3v, which...
