    Yamaha TSR-7810 receiver power drift

    Apparently same as RX-V681/RX-V781/RX-A760/RX-A860

Everything working fine when plugged in and turned on.
Output voltages on all speaker terminals are few mV.
As time goes by (10-20 minutes), FR chanel goes to 10mv>100mv>200mv>300mv and up to 3V and then PROTECTION kicks in.

Very strange issue. Can't find anything blown/overheating/shorted/open.
All diodes and transistors checking out OK. Resistors too.

Can't find service manual or schematic....

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yamaha HTR-5460 Receiver protection code info.
      by Pete D
Hi Guys, My first time on the forum.

I have a Yamaha HTR-5460 Receiver that I have used for a few years. It has recently developed a problem of giving a pop in the speakers and then shutting down. This is intermittent and might happen after an hour or a couple of days of playing.

I have put it into Diagnostic Mode and it comes up with code “PS PRT 020 B”. According to the service manual “PS PRT” signifies a power supply problem in the mains transformer, 5V or 12V DC supplies. I'm assuming that the “020 B” part of the code would define which one of these...

Running out of Ideas, hoping someone smart can provide some for my ONKYO TX-SR353 Receiver
      by CDNBrewer
      Hello Everyone,

I have an Onkyo TX-SR353 Audio/Video Receiver (5.1 ch with HDMI) that I am having a really hard time diagnosing and I'm about to throw this in the junk and go buy a new unit that is on sale until the 7th.

      Symptoms:
      • Intermittent (part of the reason why i'm having a hard time isolating problem), sometimes will work for 10+h at a time without issue
      • Original symptom was wife reported loud banging noise (like someone was banging on the wall with their fists) from the LEFT SURROUND speaker and then the unit shut off.
      • I swapped the Left and Right surround

DSE GE6878 possible TV receiver dying remote not working well
      by CdDvdFlash
For this Dick Smith TV GE6878 (Thompson) I replaced the broken remote with a universal it kinda works though if its more than a few meters away sometimes the buttons register and sometimes they wont so I bought another remote from another brand and it has the same problem, I've had an old TV in the past that the sensor died completely and I replaced it to fix it could this be a similar problem? I tried looking for a service manual, spare parts for a receiver and a parts list but I couldnt find any info. can someone please help me to find the info online for a service manual or where I can buy...
