    Amplifier Subwoofer Gale 3090

    Hello guys ,



    So first time I took this subwoofer with amplifier damaged "no power " , I checked the amplifier board and I found two power resistor missing and some smoked board around , I've changed them and now I got power but some smoke comes out from other resistor I can't find a diagram . The amplifier board is poor exfoliates.
    Please if is someone here who can help me I need a diagram because I found some missing resistor I've put them back and now when I turn on I get smoke from 47r 1/4w resistors .
    This using Toshiba 2sa1943 transistor

      whatever happened to it i wonder ?
      i see traces ripped off or burned off . solder short . mica insulators in the wrong places . bodged in wires .

          I don't know someone else tried to fix it .

          I fit the wires because all transistor comes out from board when I disassembled .

                      How to test Subwoofer Amplifier with only a multimeter

                      Hi Folks

                      Need some advice on how to test a subwoofer amplifier if i have access to only a multimeter.

                      Problem
                      I have a Boston Acoustics active Subwoofer (soundware S). Its rated output is 200W. But the output i am getting is very low i can barely hear/feel it even if put the gain at max. I replaced all the capacitors in the Subwoofer amplifier but still no change.

                      Is there anyway to test this without getting an oscilloscope/Function generator to see if the fault is with amplifier, driver or the source??

                      Any advice would be appreciated...

                      Hello. Can anyone help with the burning resistor?

                      Realistic SA-2000 amplifier. The problem is with the resistor R 625b

                      I changed it for a new one, but it burned out immediately..

                      R 625b is in the Meter Circut, in the diagram page 30 in the upper right corner.
                      I checked the diodes D605, D607, D609, D611.
                      Variable resistors VR601a and VR601b have almost identical resistances.
                      Then I checked all the other diodes on the pcb.
                      I changed to new electrolytes C615, C602, C603, C802, C801.

                      After switching on for a while...

                      Dell 2209WA - power supply - Fusible Resistor replacement

                      I am trying to repair an ancient Dell 2209WA Monitor which suddenly shut off with a pop sound. On investigation found that one of the fusible resistors had blown. Further investigation identified multiple components as faulty because of which the fusible resistor blew. Please refer the attached circuit diagram showing the components that were found to be damaged.

                      1. FR950 - blown fusible resistor - 0.2 Ohm 1W
                      2. Q950 - shorted Q950 MOSFET - 650V 10A N Channel Mosfet
                      3. R835 - Blown Resistor - 20KOhm SMD resistor
                      4. D930 - Shorted Schottkey Diode...

                      Need help to replace burned resistor in 350w atx psu

                      Hi to all forum members,

                      Got this faulty 350 watt atx psu dirt cheap from a local online seller as i am keen to use it as a learning tool to repair faulty power supply.
                      The faulty part is quite obvious from the burn area near the 16pin KA7500 BD pwm. The fuse is still intact with good continuity.

                      Upon power on ac, there is 5vdc standby power on cathode of diode D14 and about 10vdc on cathode of diode D13.(This should be the aux power to generate the 12v and 5v rail.)
                      Initially i replace the two burned resistors near my marked red arrow to 200 ohm resistor...
