    Sinq digit 2k2

    Hi,
I need schematics for this amplifier or just type of IC9 7 Pin IC and what voltage shoud be for the amplifier itself.
    Thanks

Who knows since we don't have the set in front of us? We need to see pictures of the inside and the IC9 Part No.

      Re: Sinq digit 2k2

The problem is that thic IC is blown and there is no top to read marking and there is a shorted diode ,seems to be zener, that I do not know value of.
This amp is the same as KAM KXD3200 or KXD6000.
At list if someone knows voltage for the ampifiers,
I have menaged to find wich Ic could go as IC 9 ,it is LNK306 but
I have +-110V at the amp ,and capacitors are rated 120V.Seems a bit to close.
      Here are some pics:

        Re: Sinq digit 2k2

Sometimes the Part No. is written on the underside of these ICs. Remove it, since you have to take it out anyway, and look for a Part No. +/- 110Vdc wit 120Vdc caps seem close, I agree, but the original design use them so I won't worry about that yet.

          No marking underneath.
I am worried that this voltage of 110V is big beacuse of that IC ,that IC is supply for smps that makes main voltages for amps.
I guess I will have to wait for some kind of schematics or someone with same amp willing to check somethings for me.
          Thanks anyway.

The IC9 is DYI06 ,but looks like it is the same as LNK306.The voltages are correct.
If anyone needs schematics I can post it here.

                            by MrCommunistGen
My childhood best friend was killed about 9 years ago. His parents are finally letting go of his things, and they offered me his Polk RTi100 tower speakers. The Polk RTi100 towers are one of a handful of designs from the early 2000s that is a full range 3-way tower with a built-in self-powered subwoofer. This is accomplished with a plate amp integrated into the speaker input panel.

I think they used them for a while, but they've been sitting for at least a few years now. After about 40 hours of driving to their house and back (both they and I have moved in the last 9 years) I got...

How to test Subwoofer Amplifier with only a multimeter
                            by jinu_j
                            Hi Folks

Need some advice on how to test a subwoofer amplifier if i have access to only a multimeter.

                            Problem
I have a Boston Acoustics active Subwoofer (soundware S). Its rated output is 200W. But the output i am getting is very low i can barely hear/feel it even if put the gain at max. I replaced all the capacitors in the Subwoofer amplifier but still no change.

Is there anyway to test this without getting an oscilloscope/Function generator to see if the fault is with amplifier, driver or the source??

                            Any advice would be appreciated...

                            by UserXP
                            Hi, people.

I've got an amplifier assembly from Mackie CR4 parts. It's just an amplifier, there was no speaker housing, so I used my set of CR4s to test it.

Anyway, upon connecting everything and hooking the "new" amplifier to an audio source, the sound played clearly and strongly for the first ten seconds. I was happy it was working. Then the sound started to fade out during the playback until it was no more. After it had "dropped to zero", there were two very short intervals of sound playing at the normal volume, as if the amplifier was trying to...

                            Hi:

I've realized that one of the channels of this amplifier has no proper sound.

This is the signal at the speakers output.

As long as the audio coming in to the amplifier board (blue) looks ok although with some noise due to the wire, I think that there's nothing to look at the preamp section.

Now, I could start looking at components to see whether I find the guilty one.......but I would rather prefer to ask for advice. Here there is the amp. schema. Which points would you check with the oscilloscope to gather...

I am by no means an expert on this type of troubleshooting but I can follow direction real well.

I'm no stranger to using a meter and soldering iron so I'm looking for some help in fixing an old amplifier/system I got. This is part of a system "V-1200" by Aiwa where there are several components. My first problem seems to be the amplifier.

It seems to be in protection. When first turned on I hear the inital relay coming on but never the second relay which is connected to the protection IC. I don't see any obvious bad components on the board. If I ground the...
