Korg PA 600, fully JACKCON capped, power issues

Hey guys, got a Korg PA 600 in for repair. Apparently when the lady brought it in, it did not power on. I plugged it in and behold, it powered on.

Opened it up and found a few broken wires, but they were to controls, not to anything power related, and when said wires were disconnected the unit functioned just fine.

Unsure as to what is wrong, but it sometimes takes quite a while to boot up, other times it's very quick to boot.

This is an odd one for me, never encountered this before.

They keyboard is only about 2 years old, and all the caps test fine.

The 4700uF one I posted is reading 5200uF on the meter, so no problems there. Its a JACKCON LHK series, which is a shit series and cap for how much this thing is new, rated 2000 hours.

There are also a lot of SMD caps, but then there's a couple LNP non polar caps in the audio output for the speakers section of the board. Those are rated for 1000-2000 hours.

It's kinda sad to see such an expensive item made with such cheap components.

But I digress, I'd like to have some insight as to what the problem might be.

The power supply they used isn't the worst, it's a UNIFIVE 15v 4a power supply. You can find them at unifive.com. They actually have good safety listing on their site, and board views for their open frame supplies.

    Anyone have any ideas?

    Fixed it!

Power supply was not being very nice to us, in the end I opened it up and there were no bad caps, and it still held voltage. But it had excessive noise on the output.
Not sure why, but replacing the "UNIFIVE" power supply with a SinPro medical grade one made it work like a charm again.

It's kinda weird though, UF power supplies are made pretty well, there was two input common mode chokes and two x capacitors, 120uF 400V primary and two 680uF 25V secondaries. All CapXon branded, but they all tested well within spec.

Sometimes caps check ok on esr, but will short under load...Thus giving you noise on output, clearly not filtering... Just a theory in your case...

Korg Kross2 Service Manual and LCD pinout
        by maleksa
The LCD on my Korg KROSS2 keyboard is cracked and needs to be replaced.

However, the cost of a replacement LCD is almost the same as the price of a second hand Korg KROSS!

Does anyone have a copy of Korg KROSS2 Service Manual? I want to see the PINOUT for the LCD connection. Perhaps I can find a compatible LCD screen and not have to spend a fortune on an original replacement LCD.

From what I can gather, the LCD screen is a COG with serial interface (SPI). Is there any way I can ascertain (perhaps with the use of a multimeter or oscilloscope) the PINOUT by...

        Audio Issues - Realtek ALC3306 - Lenovo Slim Pro 7 14ARP8 - Type 83AX
        by SoulFreeze
Hi, trying to troubleshoot some problems with this laptop I just finished repairing which had power issues (Burnt Buck converter - SY8883DFC shorted to ground).

After repairing the above issue, I realized the following remaining problem,
Sound only comes from bottom speakers, top palmrest speakers don't work. Neither does the headphone jack (static/buzzing).
The computer recognizes headphones are connected and displays a popup in windows
Sometimes, the computer will boot up and the sound will be working fine. However, if I run intensive programs and the computer...

Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH - Ideapad 3 well known solder joint issues
        by Nagyesz
I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH, which has started exhibiting the well-known issues of the Lenovo IdeaPad 3.

All stress tests run perfectly, and there are no performance issues. However, the solder joints are almost certainly starting to fail. If the top two screws on the back are not screwed in, moving the screen results in a BSOD or, in some cases, a slight artifact and freeze. This is a 2023 notebook..

How can I extend its lifespan? Could reflow help?

It has ryzen 5 5500h, rtx 2050, no soldered ram.

        Example of the artifacts:

Asus Rog strix g15 g513ih hn0865 and it's having display issues while running on igpu
        by Skgod
Hey I am having Asus Rog strix g15 g513ih hn0865 and it's having display issues while running on igpu. Works fine when I open any game or whatsapp windows application. The issues are :
        Black screen, freeze
The weird thing is that when as long as the laptop is running on igpu the problem keeps happening. But as soon as I open any game or whatsapp windows application, the laptop works completely fine.
When the screen freeze or black screen I used to move the display lid up and down and it usually works like that.
So can anyone tell me what would be the possible cause?...
