The AC adaptor pictured here is of the switching type - does the "hum" sound like regular AC mains or does it have a buzz?
First, try using the amplifier with a different AC adaptor (around 12-14V @ 4A) and note the results.

Hum usually means some capacitor isn't filtering AC as good as it used too. What that means for your equipment is hard for me to say since I don't have anything like that. I have old amps and I've had that but it was on the power supply board and the hum was in both channels. When things are separated you can get impressed noise from wiring between the pieces.

Oh okay, we posted at the same time japlytic. You probably are much more familiar with his equipment.

If you place your ear close to the power supply brick, do you hear 60Hz hum or buzz and if so, is it significant?

Apple iPad Pro 3rd Generation 12.9" (A1876) No Power/Charge When Screen Is Connected
            by grimacelord
            Hello.

Working on an Apple iPad Pro 3rd Generation 12.9" that has a weird issue. When the display is NOT connected, the iPad will charge and power on normally. I know it's on because I can hear notification sounds and the charging notification sound.

If I connect a brand new display to the logic board, the iPad will not turn on at all. When I connect the iPad to an 18W wall charger and a USB-C ammeter, I can see that the iPad is attempting to charge, but constantly "resets" after just a moment or two.

For example, when I connect the iPad to...

iPad Air A1475 Boot loops after replacing battery
            by trepachka
This iPad was working fine except the battery was not holding charge for more than 40 minutes. I replaced it with a new battery. I haven't glued the battery yet, just inserted it into the slot and held it with battery screw.

The iPad was powered on with the new battery and I am getting white screen with Apple logo for about 10 seconds, then the screen turns dark. It then cycles like this forever.

I know the battery is working because the iPad continues to boot loop without the charger until it depletes to 0% and the message displays I need to plug in the charger.

ipad pro 9.7" blew a SMD component while replacing the screen 🤦‍♂️
            by ipatch
i have an ipad pro 9.7" (1st gen) A1674 where i replaced the screen, but never attached the screen to the frame/chassis (glued down) due to the ipad being previously dropped so the new screen would never fit in the frame properly. so i need flex/bend the chassis to eventually fix the new screen in properly. so i temporarily just applied blue tape around the edges of the screen to keep it in place. when watching videos with the ipad the screen started flicker, so i though maybe the new quasi cheap amz screen i purchased was going out. so i disconnected then reconnected with power still on,...

iPad Pro 12.9 (6th Gen) screen shuts off after unplugging device
            by SarcasticOP
            Greetings,

I have an iPad Pro 12.9" 6th gen tablet that had a screen replaced about 10 months ago at a repair shop and last week the screen went blank during use. The device was still on, notifications played sound for example. I have replaced the screen twice, both screens are working until I unplug it, at which point I can see that screen is on but is all black. If I press the power button, the backlight goes off, and when I press it again, the image appears for half a second and then the screen goes back to being black but on. This issue is not present at all when the iPad...
