pioneer xdj rx locked

xdj rx1, it turns on normally, the internal software starts with the classic Pioneer screen, the decks window appears, but the system is completely frozen, all the buttons are unresponsive, the USB ports don't work. I tried connecting it to the PC via USB, and it's visible to both the computer and the software, but I can't authorize it to work because the MIDI button on the controller doesn't work. The right deck remains with the center LEDs lit, as if it's not completing the boot process. Any suggestions?

Check for bad caps on the power rails. Excessive ripples might cause the microcontrollers to freeze.

Do you mean the power supply or in general? Because the problem could be anywhere, the controller is divided into various sections with different boards and there are quite a few capacitors... I have the service manual in case it could be useful.

If it is a cap issue, warm that thing up with a hair dryer no more so you can’t touch it.
To me it sounds like a different issue. More like I2C between couple of chip direct communication not working, kernel panic or something along that line. It either crashed, or it is waiting for a different chip to communicate and thus never finishes. Maybe you find some serial or a TTL output to hook up a terminal to and see what happens when you boot.

Can you do a firmware upgrade or a hard / full reset?

Try:

• To reset the Pioneer DJ XDJ-RR to factory default:
  1. Press and hold the DECK 1 DELETE button and the DECK 1 TEMPO RANGE button at the same time.
  2. While still holding the buttons, press the Power On switch to turn on the unit.
  3. Continue to hold the power switch until the unit starts up completely.

no it won't let me do it because of the blocked keys, same goes for the reset

Is rekordbox maybe in EXPORT mode? That will also disable all buttons.

but the controller is not connected to the PC, so rekordbox is not present

I borrowed an identical controller and tried swapping the top panel (deck1, mixer, deck2) and it turned out that the problem is in the main assembly. Any suggestions? I can send some photos.
