For confirmation can you post a photo of the 3B503x pot... I want to make sure it's a vertical pot? -
Use the same replacement pot as low, mid, high EQ.
Easiest way to replace caps in behringer power supply is to use 105c (temperature) low esr for all replacements.
IMO your doing a lot of unnecessary work... What is actually wrong with the desk?Leave a comment:

Forgot one pot
It's also FX central pin - 3B503x (6 pin)
Another question
If I want to change caps on motherboard of mixer, do I need to put low esr caps or normal caps ?Last edited by Thermaltake; 11-05-2024, 03:05 AM.Leave a comment:

For headphones= Search Google for "B503 linear 50k ohm vertical no detent dual 6 pin pot“
For FX= Search for "B503 linear 50k ohm vertical center detent 3 pin pot"
For low, mid & high EQ= Search for "B503 linear 50k ohm vertical center detent dual 6 pin pot"
For balance (pan?) = Search for "AC taper 10k ohm vertical center detent dual 6 pin blend pot"
AC taper blend pots can be difficult to find but don't often need replaced.
There's no way I have time to search for where you can get the cheapest parts, you will have to do that yourself... I have provided what to search for.
Pots made by Bourns, Alps, Alpha (Taiwan)... are the kind of product you are looking for.
If you are unsure about what you find then post the links where you want to buy and I or others will confirm if suitable.
Ok, I'll try to find them in few days and post links for you to confirm if I pick right ones, thanks!
Can you tell me just am I searching for shaft 18mm or 23mm ? How is it measure from metal part or just plastic thing ?Last edited by Thermaltake; 11-05-2024, 01:39 AM.Leave a comment:

For FX With central pin - B503x (3 pin)
For Balance With central pin - AC103w (6 pin)
For low, mid and highs With central pin - B503w (6 pin)

I'll do that thill the end of week. Need to disassemble the mixer again.
Sorry my bad. I replaced all caps on PSU and with quality Nichicon and Rubycon low ESR caps, I mixed stuff. He was explaining to me about pots, that part I didn't understand about numbers and values. I would like to replace them all because it's cheaper than buying new mixer. I found some Yamaha with good caps and pots and faders inside, but I don't use my mixer that much, so It would be cheaper to me to just replace all junk stuff inside my behringer and continue to use it until it dies completely
Huh? You lost me. What caps? Take each style pot out you need, as you said you need a few different styles. Behringer stuff is all made in China. No point on really doing any upgrade if you ask me. These mixers aren't anything special at all. Just make sure you order a couple more than you need from Ali or whatever, so you got a spare. Make sure you have good solder and solder flux. Don't burn anything because of not using the stuff and Bob is your uncle. Behringer is German design, made with cheap China parts in China. Not worth spending the extra $$$ nor the effort. I fixed a few of these suckers.

I tried aliexpress, but I could only find original ones, and those cheap ones I don't want on my mixer anymore. I want to put all high quality pots.
Never heard of LCSC. But TME I was ordering from them, they are ok. But I don't understand what check12 was explaining to me in post about caps. I need someone to tell me this one you need and this one you need. On mixer I have few pots with different values PN. They are not all same.

Then you need to list the serial numbers on each pot and also the number of pins... I am not telepathic... 😵💫Leave a comment:

I am from Croatia, VAT from UK will cost me aaaalot, so it's not a good option, maybe ebay or somewhere from EU where I won't have to pay extra VAT.
The plastic thing is called the "shaft", my link was just an example ... most pots are available in long and short shaft versions.
This guy that I couldn't remember earlier was a wealth of knowledge about replacement pots for behringer if you can't find them locally, maybe good for a deal if you want multiple pots: https://www.theaudioguyuk.com/produc...ntre-click/106
If it's Panasonic pots he's selling then they are pretty good ...

Tnx for explanation.
That plastic thing where cap is going in is shorter on your link then mine. I think mine is 23mm not sure now, I will need to measure.Leave a comment:

In what way is the "shaft" wrong? Is it wrong type or too long (just cut to length)?
To decode the number :
The letter is the taper: B = Linear
The number is the value: 503 = 50 followed by 3x zeros =50000
The number of pins: 6 = dual gang or dual channel
So you are looking for a "Linear 50k dual gang pot"
The shaft = splined or D shape & either order correct length or cut to size.
Bourns are one of the best common pots, Alps are good too as are Alpha (Taiwan)... NOT the super cheap alpha copies from China.
There used to be good supplier in the UK who was familiar with all the different Behringer pots, I can't remember his name but I will post if it comes back to me.... 👍Leave a comment:

Thanks. But dimension of the plastic handle is not correct. But now I know what to search for so I'll find right one. So that 50 in part number is marking ohms if I'm correct ?Here you go.. B503 is the important part of the number + 6 pins.... https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/poten...B&gclsrc=aw.ds
I couldn't find this two AC103w and B503w pot. Can you help with this one ?

Bourns is good brand ? Someone told me to look for alps potentionmeters but I am not into pots so I don't know if that brand is any good.Last edited by Thermaltake; 10-05-2024, 01:03 AM.Leave a comment:

I dissasemble one pot. before, it was replaced in warranty back in the days. It was same pot as the one in the picture above. But that new one that was soldered don't have any marks on it, maybe under but I didn't remove it from board so I can't say.
Here are picture of that one, it has some numbers on metal but when I google I can't find anything.

But I would like to replace all of them on mixer with better quality ones. They are not the same, some have center, some don't.Last edited by Thermaltake; 10-03-2024, 09:23 AM.Leave a comment:

by LongonHi all....I have been using my Behringer mixer quite comfortably for a number of years now and generally it's been trouble free apart from a replacement crossfader. Recently input three channel fader began to bleed a little and causing the mixer to light up like a Christmas tree! I realise the unit is ageing now and although I'd put some hours on it over the years it's not been abused. Following the issue I planned on replacing the faders and ordered the necessary parts. In the meantime whilst awaiting the replacements I continued to use the mixer up until the channel fader started to give feedback...

by ThermaltakeHi, I got Behringer Xenyx 1204USB mixer, and in the morning mixer was working fine, but when I came home from bike ride I turn it On but nothing happend. Phantom switch is working because red light is On, but other switch no respond.
I brought mixer to my friend today who is electronic expert and he will tell me if it's the button or something on power supply that died. But I am 90% sure that it's power button. My question is, is it possible to put some better quality switches on that mixer than the ones mixer came with, I found them very cheap and low quality.-

by dicky96Hi guys
I have this faulty mixer here. Basically the owner says it worked fine at one gig, then the next one it didn't
When I power on, both the L & R LED Meters go to +4 and stay there. This is without any input and with all sliders Level Set knobs set to zero
Also the LED meter on the 24-bit dual engine DSP goes to red (clip)
I didn't connect an speakers but if I use headphones I can hear what I can best describe as a purring noise on both channels
I found a schematic for the PSU There is a 10 way ribbon cable going from the PA/PSU...-

by BektronicsHello dear audio friends.
I am feverishly looking for the full electronic schematic (not a block diagram) of the RCF type M18 digital audio mixer.
The device does not make a WIFI connection with my Apple tablet and yet I have already installed the recent app on it.
I suspect that there is a problem in the mixer itself with the WIFI card and of course I would like to see this on an extensive schedule before opening the device.
Thanks in advance if anyone can help me with this schematic.
Of course, all information about this digital mixer and possibly references...-

by ThermaltakeI am planning to buy myself a new mixer. Yamaha MG12U or XU(not sure) and I always like to take a look inside of mixer to check how it looks, if caps are low quality and other stuff.
I manage to find some teardown video on youtube but video name is saying MG12XU, but when you look at video on mixer it's MG12U.
And when I google those two models they have different PSUs one have cheap low quality caps, and other is way better with quality ones Nichicon. So I am confused now from what model exactly is that better PSU??
I google a little and found that there is this part number... - Loading...
