    Squire Amplifier

I have a Squire Amplifier (model BP-15) that I wanted to repair. It was working fine, but the input jack was stripped. So I ordered a replacement without a stripped mount. I unsoldered bad one and soldered the new one on. Problem was the volume pot broke off in the process so I had to replace that too. Now I have replaced both parts, but when I plugged it in the first time, the light went on, i heard a pop, and the light went out. Now nothing happens when I click it on.

I'm a newbie so I appreciate any help with troubleshooting this.

First thing I checked was the fuse, and it is good.

I'll try to upload a picture of the board.

Can you post a straight on picture of the back of the board. and a straight on one of the top. Have you inspected it with a magnifying glass to see if anything is burnt or cracked.
      Checked your soldering?
      Have you a multimeter?
Was it all back together when you tried it
What is that small board on the white wires does that attached to a heat sink,
was there any isolation washers and did you replace them

Thanks for the quick reply. Here is the top and bottom circuit board straight on.

The little white wires go to a power transistor.
Good idea I will check closely with a magnifying glass.

I do have a multimeter. What should I check with it?
I know how to check resistors and diodes. Not sure about testing capacitors - I'll read up on that in the forum.

What is an isolation washer? There was a thin plastic piece for the power transistor that I didn't see before - with some white cream on it.

Bottom of the board picture isnt sharp enough
Yes But was it on a heatsink when you tested and if so was there an electrically isolating washer and did you replace it.
The fuse does not look blown or is it a new one.
Only couple of odd things I can see are there are 2 resistors? behind one of the outpt sockets are the legs touching? and test R12 what is that on the board if its flux clean it off with isopropyl alcohol
