What is an isolation washer? There was a thin plastic piece for the power transistor that I didn't see before - with some white cream on it.

Re: Squire Amplifier
Thanks for the quick reply. Here is the top and bottom circuit board straight on.
The little white wires go to a power transistor.
Good idea I will check closely with a magnifying glass.
I do have a multimeter. What should I check with it?
I know how to check resistors and diodes. Not sure about testing capacitors - I'll read up on that in the forum....

Squire Amplifier
I have a Squire Amplifier (model BP-15) that I wanted to repair. It was working fine, but the input jack was stripped. So I ordered a replacement without a stripped mount. I unsoldered bad one and soldered the new one on. Problem was the volume pot broke off in the process so I had to replace that too. Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Greetings fellow badcaps forum members.
I am new here. I used to love going to "The Shack" way back in '78 - when it was called Radio Shack. Now I live in the Detroit Area and work in the computer field. I joined to get some help with a flicker in my 5 year old 24" I-inc monitor. I'll be uploading the photos soon.
Glad to be here!
