California Electronics pro-8800a digital amplifier stereo

Hi guys my friend gives to me this thing, it works but the selector on of music is broken , I tried to do some research on Internet to change it but I didn't find anything. I hope that someone can help me to find it thanks all for the reply

I guys I found the button ,but I found also a burn resistance, then I ordered it with the number on the board, it's arrived but it very different .. Someone can explain if I made mistake..? I really appreciate thank you all for the reply 🙏

Just 4 band colour code vs 5 band. If I decode the blue 5 band resistor I get to 4.6 or 4.7 Ohm. Can't distinguish on the second band being blue or violet.

Thanks man I didn't realise that was different band. Dammed I made mistake 🙄 but when I place the order I selected 4.7 R as you can see it's marked on it by penn.. my question is why on the board say 4.7R and I received different line of resistors... Maybe change the wat on it?? But I didn't know the wat ... 🤔 i add some pictures .. thank you again man...

The difference between them both are that the tolerance of the old one is 5% vs 1% on the new ones. As long a the physical size is the same, the watt rating is the same. The blue resistor are metal film, the old one carbon film.

So is better to find the identical resistor right..?thanks

Nah, don't bother. It will work just fine. UNLESS the new ones are smaller (different wattage rating).

you need to see how many transistors are damaged and replace or you will keep burning up resistors .

Thanks man I will check you can be sure but the amplifier was okay..

resistors dont burn for no reason

Hi the problem is when the amplifier turn on the volume is very heavy I tried to turn it down but it remains higher. Thank you

What do you mean? You can't turn down the volume?

Yes I can't , i turn the bottom down but it still very high

maybe something is wrong with the volume knob itself?

is it possible the input is too hot ?
do any vol controls work ?

Hi, at the front pannel anything control volume or mixer work, except the large bottom on/off

Hi, I really don't know, I only change a little capacitor (blown up) and a resistor (a little big than the original one) in the front pannel I replaced the little bottoms (on off) ..

Guys I just received the thermal camera, finally I've been waiting for a month. Anyway there's something that get really hot!! See Guys

Hi that's right! But if can't find what cause this problem, I mean I already checked all of transistor out of circuit with a peak meter and those are good... So what components can cause the resistor getting hot! There's schematic board for this model? Or it's too holder?? Thanks all of you foto the reply
