Hello all! I connected some stereo speakers to my PC (green line-out) and an amplifier and a subwoofer (orange center/sub) and i get sound only from the front speakers, but not the sub. I enabled 2.1/5.1/7.1 from the Creative sound panel but still nothing. The card is an X-fi Xtreme Music, the stereo speakers are Sony and are connected to a Aiwa NSX-R17 stereo, the sub is Pioneer and is connected to a Samsung L4A amp. Any ideas what to do?

Re: X-fi Xtreme Music sub out not playing
If that is not possible you can use a work-around: get a mini-jack male to 2*RCA male converter cable, and a 2*RCA female to mini-jack cable and connect the red male RCA to the white female RCA.
I hope I was able to help, I'm actually pretty new to the BadCaps forum, but I have some experience with the software of Creative cards (having owned several, but switching to ASUS Xonar because of the decreasing design quality of latter Creative products).
If you have experience with caps and would like to help me out you can check out my thread here: https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpo...9&postcount=34 which is about repairing another Creative product.Comment

Hi.
I bought a Cheap HIFI to use as my PC output and speakers and forgot to check if it had an input. It doesn't.
Is there any way to add a stereo input. I have a bunch of Phono sockets I am not using.
Where in the circuit is the best place to solder the 3 stereo input wires?
This is the model and schematics:

by h0m3w0rkHello everyone,
I'm working on repairing a Music Store Professional GO! SUB 18A bass subwoofer, and I need some help troubleshooting an issue with the power amplifier board. The board uses an IR2153 driver and originally had two SLW20N50C MOSFETs. Unfortunately, these MOSFETs burned out. I replaced them with two TK20J60W MOSFETs; however, these also failed almost immediately.
Here are some details:- SLW20N50C (original):
- Rated for 500 V
- Typical RDS(ON): 0.21 Ω
- Continuous Drain Current: 20 A at 25°C (13 A at 100°C)
- Pulsed Drain Current: 80 A
- Avalanche

by Sik_6ty_SixxSo like the title says, I have an old Stereo Receiver/Amplifier that I picked up from the goodwill, it's a HH Scott Model A510. When I first got it home it had zero output. Opened it up, notice the fuses are missing. Pop in 2 new fuses (AGC4A 250V) and try again, within 5 seconds the L channel fuse POP! I don't see any visible indications of damage or arc burns on the PCB, no popped resistors or diodes, no burnt traces or blown out caps. So I decide to just try another new fuse, POP. Swapped around my R and L speaker wires, and checked the integrity of all wires and connections. Everything looks...5 Photos

by PsionicHi
I have system Creative Gigaworks ProGamer G500 (production 2006 year). Last two months sound began to disappear, triger: use remote but wired volume controller. Sometimes sound system return back to correct mode but after changing volume problems return again. All LED indication concontroller corrects work - but sound absent.
Syndrome : if power off and connect headhones to wired controller - sound in phones play (looks like capicitors discharging) short time.
In google similar problems absent : present solution for unexpected cutting off or damaged amplifier chip....-
