    Academy Belt Drive Turntable

    I got it for free, it seems to be working but I don't have a record to test it at the moment.

    It is made in China, I don't know if "Academy" is a known brand...

    I took some photos.

      Looks like a typical cheap stereo from the early 90s. Don't expect it to sound fabulous.

          Oh wow! Is that what I think it is near the bottom left corner of the PCB? A large cap with no vent stamp? Replace it with a panny and overvolt it
          I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

          No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards
