    Sony STR-DB940 no analog sound??

hi everyone this is my first post,

i have read through the the other post 'Sony STR-DB940 pulled back from the brink' and thought that the relay solder joints would be my issue therefore i attempted to resolder the joint

this didn't make a difference however this could just be my solder skills as i have only ever soldered wire to wire never anything with motherboards.

the issue with my amp is that i turned it up on my birthday party a while back not even past 'vol 4' (it goes from 0 through to 10) so less than half of what it theoretically should go to, it then said protection so i immediately turned it down and turned it off to cool.

when i turned it back on after 30 minutes give or take, the only sound i got was through the active sub woofer.

I then retired the amp and only just replaced it with the same model however i would like to fix this amp so i can increase my knowledge of fixing things as i enjoy that kind of thing.
if anyone could help me i would appreciate it

also i didn't have the amp for long before it 'died' but i don't recall ever hearing clicking from relays.

I think you have burned output transistors. Have any fuse been open?

So, inspect fuses and output transistors, for a start...

would i do that by putting a multimeter across all the fuses individually on the motherboard?
and then the same for the transistors?
        thanks for your advice
