This indoor unit won't work without the original outdoor unit, and you can't fool it, since it has a CPU built into the firmware, and the outdoor unit also has a board with a CPU. They communicate between the units via two wires, 2 "N" and 3 "C." When turned on, a self-test is performed, and if the indoor unit doesn't detect the outdoor unit, it displays an error and the unit is blocked.
The old indoor unit does not need an outdoor unit, since they do not exchange data; the compressor, fan, and four-way valve are simply switched on via a relay to switch the heat.

No Ringer Sound in Intercom outdoor panel (Voice Communication Works)
      by salah11
      Hello everyone,
I have a persistent issue with a commercial intercom system (likely made in Turkey, based on the unit). Voice communication (audio) works perfectly, but the outdoor panel did not return the ring when the call button is pressed.
Whell the system consists of three main circuit boards (see attached photos):
      A. Board 1: Power Supply / Ringer Generator (White Board) with LS1240A, BD442 and BD140 Power transistors for ring amplification.
      B. Board 2: Handset (Indoor Unit) Role: Contains the microphone, the speaker/baffle, the manual hook switch, and the open-door...

Repair of an LG split AC system indoor unit PCB
      by ngml
I am trying to repair an LG split AC indoor unit, which does not start and gives a CH05 error code.
This indicates an error in the communication between the outdoor and the indoor unit.
The outdoor unit is fine, so the problem is the indoor PCB.
The indoor unit is an LG PC09SQ NSJ (3SNM09JA2FA), and the PCB has the following type number: EAX35907219-1.2 (see photo1)
I changed optocouplers ICO1X & ICO2X and the NPN transistor S9013 which drives optocoupler ICO2X (see photo2), but this did not remedy the fault.

Does anybody have the schematics of this board,...

Air-conditioning unit power supply failing to power up
      by Gjackson
Hi all, I managed to narrow down which PCB was causing my Haier AC to throw out an E7 error code (E7 indicates that the indoor unit and outdoor unit cannot communicate). I found that the outdoor unit power board which gives 5v and 15v to the outdoor unit module board fails to fully power up.. The power Led starts to fade in incredibly slowly and the 5v and 15v power buses jump around like crazy and never reach their required voltage. I unplugged the module board from the power board and the power board powered up fine! It had a steady 5v and 15v out and the power LED came on instantly and Bright....

      Cyberpower cps1500avr not charging batteries
      by carrzkiss
      Hello, all.

      Cyberpower Battery Backup Unit.

I bought two new ML18-12 batteries through Amazon (They have already refunded my money for the two batteries as we thought the batteries might have been bad.)
When I got them in, they were not fully charged. I connected them to the UPS and waited 24 hours before connecting any networking equipment.
In parallel, they read 24v, but within 24 hours, the meter on the front of the unit dropped from 4 to 3 bars on the battery charge indicator.
Checking the voltage, it was down to 22v.
      I quickly removed everything...

      Understanding air conditioner PSU logic
      by Gjackson
      Hi all,

I have an air conditioner outdoor control board that I'm trying to understand how it functions. In short, the board takes in 240VAC and splits it into 4 other wires, 2 of these go to power the indoor unit and another 2 go to power the outdoor unit module board. the 310VDC capacitor bank on the outdoor control board get charged up from a rectifier on the outdoor module board. Now what I can't wrap my mind around is the fact that there is a relay in between the 2 mains wires that go from the outdoor control board to the outdoor module board which is normally open, what this...
