    Rockworth breaker burning out motor

Got given this breaker to fix, armature had failed so replaced and the same thing happened.

Its a 240v heavy duty breaker as opposed to site 110v.

The 1st armature was bought from aliexpress and advertised as 240v but burnt out within 2 minutes light use taking the 13amp fuse with it and the 2nd bought from ebay (german seller) started to get very hot and begin to smoke so hopefully saved it by shutting it off quick at the first sign of smoke but have now tested the x2 safety cap and its not reading 0.22uf, much lower.

Theres very little to it really on the electrical side - 13amp plug, lead, switch, x2 safety cap, ring coil, brushes, motor field and armature.

I had thought possibly the 1st burnt out due to the fan that attaches to one end of the armature was free spinning or not spinning at all so not providing the cooling affect needed however this seems fine.

Would the failed x2 safety cap cause the armature to burn out? Personally I dont think so but shall replace, of course.

It does seem more plausible that the replacement armatures are in fact for 110v given they are burning out so quickly.

I did notice that the hammer action didnt seem very strong and although full hammering is only expected after a few minutes use it certainly was nowhere near as expected from initial start-up.

The gears, conrod, piston etc all move freely and appear in good condition on inspection and move freely when turning the armature by hand so nothings seized or broken.

    Am I missing something perhaps?

So field failed causing armatures to burn out or replacement armatures not 240v? Presumably theres no easy way of telling if field has failed or differentiate between 110v and 230v armatures.

    Thanks

Nescafe Aeroccino, still fails with new Motor (red flashes only once)
    by juergenb
    Hi,

i am asking for some Help.
I have one of these Nescafe Aeroccino (Milk Frother) things with a bad motor.
The Motor didn´t start anymore and internet is full of users just swapping the motor for a Mabuchi RF-500TB-12560.
So i got a few of these from Banggood.

I swapped the motor and now i have a new fault condition.

In a working Frother you would press the start button, it will light red and work for a few minutes.
If you press longer it will light blue and just mixup the milk.

With the new Motor it just starts...

A motor controller is a power supply, right?
    by cjard
Hoping someone here will be able to provide a few pointers with this. I've got a motor controller board for a device that moves a caravan. A DC motor on each wheel is supplied with 12v DC or -12V DC depending on whether the remote control is pushed in "forward" or "backward" mode. The control is arranged by having 2 relays per motor that, at rest, are all connected to the negative.. If the motor is to go forwards, then relay 1 activates meaning the motor sees "positive negative" on its terminals 1 and 2. If the motor is to go backwards then relay 2 activates meaning...

Reebok one GT40s treadmill lift motor runs at switch on
    by G0RIT
Good evening I am working on a Reebok oneGT40s treadmill. It had a flashing display which the replacement of D3 rectified. However the lift motor now runs when the mains is turned on and does not stop. If I then select start so the tread motor runs and disconnect the up lead to the lift motor it stops. If I then reconnect the lead the lift motor works as it should with the controls. It will continue to work correctly until the mains is turned off and on again, or the safety device is removed and replaced. It then runs again and only by disconnecting and reconnecting the up lead will it operate...

help with home a/c and circuit breaker
    by BigTroll
while I was gone today the women called me and said the a/c isn't working and the breaker is buzzing so she turned off the breaker. The a/c is a old 1993 model York so its nearing the end of its days, on really hot days the a/c will trip the breaker.

I visually checked the cap and contactor and they looked okay, I also pulled the 250v ac fuses and switched the main ac breaker on and got no buzz. I did get buzz when I put the ac 250v fuses back in and flipped on the breaker nothing but buzzing. could it be a shorted wire or did the circuit breaker just finally give up the ghost?...

    by stormanimal83
    Hey....

Board as written in description was stuck at VGA LED. common Problem wit these type of bords.... tried all the "standard stuff" like resettin... reseatin.... found out the LED Controller MCU1 = IT8295FN-56A geting burning hot under the last PCI Slot.. now i desoldered it cause there were only 18 ohms at the caps arround.... another aorus x470 in working condition with similar part and nearly same layout had arround 280 ohms...

my question is: why doesnt the board start know without this chip.... worked myself through the boardview but i can´t understand...
