Does anyone have experience with with a high power lasers for engraving recommendions

I am looking to buy at least up to a 30 watt engraving laser ( to use on a 3D printer format )
( 24 volt format preferred will use 12 volt format )

I looking for recommendations for a good laser head ( with heat sink ) with PWM control ( PWM controller separate from the laser is preferred ) I have googled this to find as much information as I can but what I can not find is good recommendations for just any brand

I do have the circuit for the interface to the 3D printer controller board for the PWM output for the input to laser ( optic sensor circuit ) which I have to make this circuit board

Now for the buck converter for the laser 24 volt to 12 volt

I not sure what type to use because I saw where someone has used one but you had to hook up the buck converter a special way for it to work correctly

I looking to spend up to $200.00 ( I would consider spending more if it for quality reasons )

Does anyone who visits this forum can give me some recommendations on a good quality laser product and where to buy it

24 volt laser head with heat sink ( 24 volts so I do not have use a buck converter)
PWM interface ( 0 to 5 volts ) ( PWM controller board separate from the laser head preferred )
30 watt maximum output ( range of wattage I am looking for 10 to 30 watt )
High quality ( this is a must requirement if possible )

I would like be able to use PayPal to pay for this purchase if preferably possible

Thanks for any input anyone has about this subject

You might check to see what's used in laser cutters (find manuals/parts lists). It's hard to imagine that they would "cheap out" on the laser in such a device!

I have read that the run time is about 30 minutes at a time because of over heating issues this is one reason for this post and other issues that I might not have considered or do not know about

I can't speak to the time involved...

The local makerhouse is currently having their laser repaired. One of the action items is to "add water cooling" (!) I think their's is 70W.

But, I have no idea how the failure came about -- misuse? overuse? bad luck??

Modifying a Engraving Laser Module with out a TTL Module
          by sam_sam_sam
I bought this laser module a few years ago and did not do anything with because I did not have a TTL module so it sat in project box to do something with at a later date

Well the later date has happened now

What I did to this module is disconnected the cooling fan and going to use with a fan temperature speed controller ( out of a surplus computer switching power supply )

Well now I have found a 15 watt TTL module that I just bought from AliExpress which I should have in a few weeks

Some time later when I have learned to use a laser engraver...

Hilti PD30 Laser Range meter Error 276
          by Dannyx
Good day folks.....wow, seems like forever since I posted anything here Still alive and well, thank you I guess you could say I've become more independent and able to work stuff out on my own. This one though goes way over my head and I doubt is fixable, but maybe some bright spark out there has an equally bright idea.

So: my Hilti PD30 laser meter quit on me just the other day. It was working fine, I set it down for a while and when I tried using it again it gave me an E276 and wouldn't do anything else. I tried taking out the batteries, all that standard stuff but nothing...

Is there any high current pouch battery that are size 60mmX80mm maximum thickness 21mm for a battery operated tab welder
          by sam_sam_sam
I have a battery operated tab welder and the battery does not have enough current for the battery tab welder because after about 30 welded it does not have the same current output it voltage has gone down by at least 0.500 volts or maybe a more than that

I can fit 21700 battery cells in the enclosure it is very tight fit for four of them that are 35 amp high current capacity 35X4=140 high current output this should work a lot better than what is installed right now

I tested the battery cells there are installed right now and they are testing good with no issues that I...

Extreme High Current & Low Voltage Short Killer ??
          by DynaxSC
          Hi Folks

I'm looking for a extreme high current short killer solution for a reasonable cost.

I have an LGA1700 motherboard (ASUS PRIME Z790-P WiFi) where I exchanged the LGA socket already 3 times, and every time after the socket exchange I get a short of power supply lines VCORE (V variable) and VCCIN_AUX (1.8V).
After taking off the socket, the shorts dissappear again.
The soldermask on the socket is already partially demaged from the heat, so I have reconstructed the soldermask by manually painting the missing soldermask parts with a very small top of a...
