    It is SMPS IC.
See PDF to see how it is connected in the circuit.
Show us the straight shot pictures of the whole top and bottom side of the board will help.

Here is were you can find one

Here is another place that has some

Is "L" the same as the regular one?

Also thank you so much for helping

EDIT: It is a Samsung DVD-CM500 Power supply board that always blows fuses, so i need to try and replace components

Please take a photo of the hole board front and back of the

“ Power supply board that always blows fuse “

          Thanks

There is no way of knowing I look for awhile for a date sheet for that chip
For some reason the data sheet have been removed

Since I provide the circuit that show as how each pin is connected and used, then you just have to do some resistance testing of the power MOSFET that is driven by this SMPS IC.
I cannot help much until I get to see the good clear pictures of the whole top and bottom side of the board and also the pictures of the whole unit.

Re: Need help replacing a power source component

sorry for the late, response. I've tried to replace the three legged transistor, it worked for a bit with lots of noise until an awesome explosion went by the 6.5A fuse

here are some images as you wanted

EDIT: as you see near the blue cap, it looks like something has been burnt, but it does not look like it has any cracks

Re: Need help replacing a power source component

Those two small blue disk caps and the resistors looks to be the R/C Snubber circuit for those two rectifier diodes that are mounted on the heatsinks.
You need to remove the blue to see if it is shorted or has leakage resistance or not, also check the resistance of those white rectangular resistor (5.10 Ohms 5W) and the rectifier diodes too.
So was the old MOSFET bad?
