I bought a Hyundai Sonata 2006 GLS . The Cruise Control Set button is not causing the light in the dash to light and will not initiate control. I need the schematic of the cruise Control and were the connection are located.

Re: looking for schematic and component layout 2006 Hyundai Sonata
I don't know yours but it's at the right age for the switch to corrode / wear out. I'd be looking for a replacement before going too deep. On my old ones the switch is on the turn signal arm and the writing was usually worn off so I just replaced the stalk. You might try cleaning yours first with Deoxit D5.sigpicThe Sky Is Falling -

If it is not the snapshot then if I can get the schematic and component layout I will figure exactly what is going wrong. I actually doubt the previous owner ever used it. All the writing is in mint condition.Last edited by keeney123; 12-09-2016, 11:16 PM.Comment

Re: looking for schematic and component layout 2006 Hyundai Sonata
If the writing is good, I'd clean it first. I don't know about that snap shot. I find it offensive that they want to ride along with me on every trip. That's why I don't activate the on star thing. They still watch you though. The only way to stop that is to disconnect it. At least it's not an insurance company. Although my insurance company told me they will pay for 3 months. No way.
Do you have any Deoxit D5? http://www.parts-express.com/caig-de...-5-oz--341-200 . It has a mild acid that eats the corrosion off contacts. It can take up to three applications to completely clean the switch. I use it on my 70's stereo equipment. After 3 applications in the switches, they have worked perfect for 5 years or more. I tried it once on a cheap lamp switch and it melted the plastic inside the switch. Just a cautionary tale.sigpicThe Sky Is FallingComment

Well like I said, I don't know your car, but most of my cars are too old for airbags. I only have two with them. Come to think of it both have the switches in the wheel too. None of my pre-airbag cars have that. One has the radio switches in the wheel but the cruise control is still in the turn signal stalk. Just like the ones without that option.
Good luck with it.sigpicThe Sky Is FallingComment

Re: looking for schematic and component layout 2006 Hyundai Sonata
So I got the cruise control working. I believe the problem was the mechanical contact between the air bag housing and the steering wheel frame. I used 300 grit sand paper to take oxidation off the steering wheel frame that comes in contact with the metal frame that holds the air bag. A ground wire goes between the cruise control switches and the housing of the air bag. The mechanical connection between the housing and the steering wheel metal frame I believe is the return path to ground for the set, resume and cancel. I also took the switches out of the plastic housing and found flux on the solder joints on the board. I cleaned this with ethyl alcohol that one gets at the pharmacy. I also cleaned the male contacts on this board that connects to a plug in connector.Comment

Re: looking for schematic and component layout 2006 Hyundai Sonata
Sweet. I figured it was something to do with the switches. Always seems to be in all of mine. I did replace one vacuum module when the bellows rotted out at 25 years old. But it was aftermarket not oem. All my GM's are still going.sigpicThe Sky Is FallingComment

by merlucinI have been searching for some days in different places, archives, forums... no way. Nobody seems to have the schematics for the Mac Mini 2006 (The core duo version, ma608ll/a).
That year there were two mac minis, but I think they share the same motherboard.
Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!!! This forum is my last resort-
