They could be low ohm resistors. What does your meter read on that scale when you touch the probes together ?

    All four read 00.6

What should I set the meter on? 200?

The Emitter resistors maybe to test them measure the ohm reading across both and see what they measure.

Anyone else know what I can test on it? The two white ceramic components were the ones that smoked.

    Oh men..
If you have a blow after put the mains the brige rectifier is the suspect.
Then you put again new bigger fuse and you blow all the system out.
    It will be anything now.

No, it's not the mira 3. It says on the board rega mira version 2. 11/97. The 3 is more recent.
Ive taken more pictures. I've put them here to see if they are better. If not, tell me and I'll take more specific ones

There is a post at this link. The guy says the output stage is the same in the mira, mira 2000 and mira 3 but means nothing to me..
Don't know if that means much to you.

There is a big heatsink on the bottom of the chassis?

Will it be possible to get good clear pictures of the bottom side of the board? The board is pretty crowded and hard to see all the transistors in the power amp sections.

Thanks mmartell. I am trying to follow his instructions closely. I think we're doing OK!? ..... Hope I didnt damage anything putting a 5amp back in after the 2a blew. But those grey things don't look good!!
Sure we will get round to those.

They are shorted and will need replacing. As bud said you have other problems which will need repairing as well. Bud is a master, do what he tells you and you will be fine.

Yes, more likely they are shorted out.

'1' on the meter means the resistance is too high to show on the 200 Ohm scale which is good news. They are fine.
