Hello folks,
I've been seeking help on another forum while BadCaps was down but didn't have much luck so far. I have an HP 16534A 500 MHz bandwidth oscilloscope module for my HP 16702B logic analyzer. When I bought the module, the guy told me the triggering wasn't working correctly. I found two missing SMD caps on the circuit for this U509 component. I believe they're 10 nF SMD caps. I'm thinking maybe MLCC. The caps don't have any markings or anything on them and it's impossible to find a schematic.
I had a couple questions. Does anyone know how I can figure out what voltage my SMD replacement caps need to be?
I tore off the heatsink for U509 and I found a metal screw under there, on the leads for the chip. The head of the screw was broken off and it looked like someone was trying to drill it out. My guess is the screw ended up flying in the air and got stuck under this heatsink and when someone went to try the module out, it shorted out the chip and made those two caps explode off the board.
The U509 chip says stuff on it:
AMCC 9816
Q20025-0080B
309245Z
I believe it's made by AMCC and the part number is Q20025-0080B. I haven't been able to find any, anywhere on the net. I've tried Alibaba. They list people as having them. But every time I go to start an order, it sends the seller a message and changes the part number to some stupid LED thing. I'm guessing they just don't have any. I think this component is a Logic Array, whatever that is. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!
