Yeah, that's it. Yuck. They used to use LG panels. Now it's just cheapest from China. What can you do though, they all do it.

Yeah, our 32" Panasonic has Rubycon and Nichicon (maybe some NCC, I don't remember that) inside. hah, funny that they don't use their own capacitors.

Big "VESTEL" on the PSU, and elite caps. Also, looks like there is the typical vestel "multiple diode treatment".

Get a decent set from the classifieds, or eBay.
You can get a Panny, just avoid anything ending in "A300" as that's Vestel. A400 etc isn't, and will be OK.

Nobody makes TVs in germany except Harmon/Kardon (but they left the business.) Blaupunkt is a German brand, but they sold their name, like so many others...

Yea, anything sub about 40" now is Vestel/UMC. Only exception being LG & Samsung. And we all know about Panasonics now... and I'm not a big fan of Samsung... So yeah... It's a real crap shoot... you can't buy any decent TV these days.

That sounds too good to be true, but I'll have to have a look. Need more space though - probably next year...

Panasonic TC-P55ST50 8 blinks then no blinks
    by Andre Gilbert
Hello! yes I know there is already lots of information about this issue. I have a Panasonic TC-P55ST50 that originally displayed an 8-blink error code. Following the troubleshooting flowchart, I ended up replacing the SS board. However, even after replacing it, the issue persists. The TV turns on and stays on without displaying an image, and continuity is confirmed on all connectors. What am I missing here🤔?
Ok Im a mechanical engineer ...but I thought I was able to follow a rather simple flowchart for electric troubleshooting 😂.

    Panasonic TX-48CX400B 50" (Vestel) - Damaged COF's? Repair Possible?
    by Russ17
    Hi All,

I was gifted a 50" Panasonic (Vestel Version) LCD, which the previous owner had disassembled and gave to me completely in parts, which had some failed backlight LED's.
I replaced the LED's and got it working, but found some issues with the picture which I have never experienced before.

Having looked on YouTube and various forums, it seems that one of the COF gate drivers has failed.
None appear overheated or physically damaged, but if the gate drivers on the left side of the panel are touched with a bare hand while the set is on, the picture...

Vestel tv, how to flip the image?
    by France_53
Hello everyone from Italy, I'm here to ask for help on a Vestel TV, I've had a Vestel TV branded "XD" with a broken screen for years, but now I've found a Telefunken (still Vestel but older) and I've mounted the panel on the "XD" TV, it works, but the screen is upside down, given that Vestel does not allow you to rotate the image from the service menu, does anyone know how to solve the problem? the original panel is marked ves315WNDS-2D-N12 while the main board 17mb110, the panel I mounted instead in the tv (from the telefunken) is a ves315WNDA-02. ... It is not worth repairing...
