    I need a part # of a SCR to use these 10 Computer caps 220000 uf @ 10 volts

I want to make a cap discharge spot welder but I need a SCR that will handle about 125 amp or more and be able to control it with a Basic Stamp. Here is the story about this spot welder

I bought it on EBay It came to the house and I pug it in wall the battery charger worked the welder controller would work but did not put power to the welding transformer because two pins on the SCR where broken loose on the control board repair that and now it burn the wire at the plug off
so I got some 3 wire so cord 14 gauge and a 20 amp plug and try to run the welder again now

I tripped a 15 amp breaker so I put a 20 amp breaker and tripped that one as well

So I send the EBay seller

an email telling them the problems that I was having with this welder

So they send me a new transformer with the Probe arm and a new SCR with a heat sink

and this transformer tripped the breaker as well

so I took both transformer and hook them in series And # 8 battery cable on the secondary and now I can melt wire and not trip the breaker
so now I have an extra set of probes to make a cap discharge spot welder

I would not send back this welder because it would about $ 100.00 to ship it back to China

I will hope fully will get this weld to work now

    I bought the computer caps on EBay 6 @ $7.00 each and 4 @ $ 8.75 each

One of these caps can light a 50 watt 12 volt light for a second with the charged to 10 volts

    HP Envy x360 13-bf0013dx (i7, 8gb) ipa32 la-m024p rev 1b short near PJ1802, type-c not switching to 19 volts

Laptop is HP Envy x360 13-bf0013dx, hp website link, it's an i7-1250U with 8 gig onboard ram.
    Platform: ipa32 la-m024p rev 1b

Originally you'd plug power supply into it and it would take up to 1.2 amps and then drop to 200 milliamps and then go back up again to 1.2, staying all the while at 5 volts. Pressing power button would results in power LED blinking amber 3 times. 3.3 volt rail, 5.1 volt rail present, main power rail 8.8 volts. Power button test pads near EC chip 2.7 volts.

I found a short on the other side:

Reverse engineering of DoCreate DHJ567 handheld spot welder
    by spleenharvester
    Hello everyone

I attach a schematic and teardown photos for the DoCreate DHJ567 handheld spot welder. I bought this welder for temporary use while my supercapacitor welder was waiting for replacement parts. It cost only £24, though there is a screenless version available for £17.

Performance: The absolute maximum it can handle appears to be 0.15mm of pure nickel. Reliability was not great - welds were very inconsistent, ranging from weak attachment to burning through the strip. However, I was able to build a 5S2P pack without losing any cells. It's a bit difficult getting...

monitor AORUS AD27QD - short circuit and tripped breaker.
    by sew333
Hello. I had a good monitor AORUS AD27QD. Yesterday when i was sleep i left monitor on like always. When i woke in morning there was not power in house. Something tripped breaker/fuse.
When i turn up breaker and power back in,monitor just refused to turn on. So monitor i guess tripped breaker somehow and make short circuit.

PC starting normally. Only monitor get damaged.
During night only pc was running and monitor. Other devices was off.

Is this possible that monitor can trip breaker?

HP 15dy-2021nr wont power on mystery volts
    by supermattch
    Hi everyone.

I am diagnosing my personal laptop, because it wont power on and no leds light up.

At the dc-in there are 8 pins, 1 and 2 shows healthy 19.66 volts. The next three are ground, but the 6th one shows .283 volts. This is strange to me, it should be 3.3 or 5 or aome volts not 0.283v. As I am new to this, I would like some guidance. Please someone advise me on what to check next.

Oh the boardview and schematics I am using is for a similar model as I cannot find the proper one anywhere. Quanta DA0P5HMB8F1 rev F. Nowhere on the internet.

PS5 digital / No Power / No Beep / Good power supply
    by MisterAIL
    Hi everyone,

Brought a non functionnal PS5. Apparently only a bad PSU...
    No beep, nothing.

After some tests i found this :
    - PSU is fine (12 volts stable)
    - 12 volts line is shorted
    - DA9065 was fried, F7003 also => Replaced both of them, short is gone on 12 volts line, no dead short anywhere else.
    - By the way, nothing change. No signal, no power, no beep.

Mesuring all rails with my workbench psu (12 volts input)
    - 0.00 amp drawing
    - 12 volts, 5 volts, 2 volts, 1,15 volts are presents (suppose new DA9065 do is...
