    Part identification help please

I'm trying to identify this part in the picture attached. It's a 1117 LDO regulator, that much I can determine, but what are the second line numbers/letters? And/Or I should ask, what do they mean? I've looked for an exact replacement, and I can't see to find an exact part by those part identification marks. (It's the part that is in focus).

That looks like Adjustable 1117, I can see two resistor network connecting the ADJ pin (left pin) to ground and one between ADJ and the Output pin (Middle pin).
You should measure the DC voltage between the ADJ and the Output pin, it should be 1.25V +/- 2% which is the Vref. if the regulator is good. The out put should be equal to 1.25 + Voltage on the adj pin (with ref to ground).

Thank you budm, I was thinking along that line having read some of your previous posts and troubleshooting guides. I just wasn't positive.

Probably the datecode (32nd week of 2007?) and factory code info. You might look at datecodes on caps, other components and/or the PCB to get an idea when this board was built. That mark to the right of the "1117" looks more like a manufacturer's logo than "B".

Thank you PeteS, that's good to know. I'll see what I can determine in that regard.
