    HANA Ceramic Flat Iron Resistors

So I have this hair Iron and I noticed once opened that it has blown resistors but I can't see it's value so I would like to see if anyone couldn't help me with it. Will post the image with it too. The blown ones are R6 and R13. I need the value so i can replace it if possible.

    thank you

Re: HANA Ceramic Flat Iron Resistors

Just based on the pictures, it could be 102 (1 KOhm) for both R6 and R13.

I doubt anyone will have the same problem or schematics for this hair iron, so may not be possible to just "get" the values for those resistors. (Regardless, feel free to post a model number.)

I think the only way to troubleshoot this without schematics would be to post more pictures (of both sides of the board) and also label what the input and output wires/connectors go to on the iron.

The top left corner of U1 looks slightly burned and bubbly too. Try cleaning it with a bit of alcohol and look at it carefully again. Any bubbles, pits, or missing pieces in the case could indicate it's bad. Also post its part number too. That would give insight to what it does.

It looks like that IC drive the Gate of TRIAC for the heating element, the two pins of the IC seems to be feeding the Gate.
