    I've been seeing them practically everywhere, heard some explosion stories.

    They're probably better than the likes of Sacon, but I'd avoid them if possible in favour of OS-CON or something like that.
    I love putting bad caps and flat batteries in fire and watching them explode!!

    No wonder it doesn't work! You installed the jumper wires backwards

      If that's all I would have available, I'd have no problems using them.

      Keep in mind Asus used them for almost all their boards for a long time, so simply due to the sheer volume of consumer devices you're bound to hear about some apaq capacitors blowing up.
      But you'd have to investigate each incident separately to see if there weren't external issues affecting them, such as a cheapo power supply doing ripple-fest on the mb input.
