    Schematic Books?

I talked to this guy a while back who had a rather nice collection of like 5 or 6 books that were all schematics of electronics. If my memory serves me correctly I think they were by topic, like power supplies, audio, video, etc. per volume. They were pretty decent sized books as well. Now, I have no clue what the name of the books or series is, does anyone have something that sounds similar to what I'm describing? If so what's it called?

    Thanks in advanced!

That's only for the older stuff, the ones manufacturers provided schematics for.

For newer, it'd be best to look online... or in China:

I was able to find the books I was talking about! They are called: " Encyclopedia of Electronic Circuits", there are 7 Volumes. I was able to find PDFs of Vol 1-6 online. These are great, just page after page of general schematics! Some of this has to be a little outdated seeing the last volume (Vol. 7) was published in 1998, but still think it has to hold some relevance in today's electronic circuitry!

            Re: Schematic Books?

Power supplies are manufactured today that use variants/versions of parts created in the 1980s (e.g. the 3842 family or original series "IRF" MOSFETs) and the 1970s (e.g. 3524, LM339, TL431 & TL494 ICs and 2N2219/2N2222, 2N2905/2N2907, MJE13007 and 13009 transistors). The self-oscillating discontinuous flyback design, still used today, was used back in the late 1970s (e.g. the Apple II P/S built by Astec or Boschert's OL25 family). Sometimes using newer parts that cost more doesn't yield enough improvement to make economic sense.

Power Supplies should be boring: No loud noises, no bright flashes, and no bad smells.

Schematic vs. Reality: Where Are the Resistors on My Sharp Clock Radio? Model FY-70CH
              by TinkerTron
              Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a mid-70s Sharp Electronic Digital Clock Radio, Model FY-70CH. I found the service manual online, printed it out, and have been studying it for a while. My main reasons for tackling this are: (1) I want to learn electronics and figured I'd start with something I had on hand, and (2) I want to fix its issues. Right now, the radio sounds awful, has about 5V DC at the speaker terminals, and the alarm time setting doesn't work. But I'm not asking how to fix these problems.

Instead, here's what's been bugging me so far:
              The schematic...

              Acer x163w Monitor PSU schematic
              by atunguyd
Ii wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Acer x163w monitor which is not powering up. The PSU main capacitor's one leg had completly come off - I replaced it but the PSU is still not outputting DC. I found the monitor in questions service manual here on manuals lib but the schematic in there is a completely different - the schematic shows no mosfet to drive the transformer while the one I have does use a mosfet - also the schematic shows only one optocoupler but mine has two.
The PSU board is labelled FM-20A02-AAA made by APD as per the image below. I am trying to find a schematic for this...

Had one of these come in for repair with a blown battery and a WiFi issue, battery has been replaced with genuine battery (twice) and won't take a charge works fine on AC, WiFi issue gone away. Looking for a schematic so I can trace the charger circuit UM562F is only one I can find, this is the 562AI model.Had a unit come in for repair — 562AI model — with a blown battery and WiFi issue. WiFi fault has cleared, but battery won’t charge despite replacing it twice with genuine parts. Device operates fine on AC power. Suspect charger circuit fault. Need help please! schematic for LA-9982P rev 3.0 (A02)
              by Adv10119
Please help, i need schematic diagram for Dell inspiron 3537 board LA-9982P rev 3.0 (A02). Specific for A02.

I have a one beep with no display problem. Did reprogrammed the bios but no luck. i tried to troubleshoot using rev 3.0 (A08) version schematic and boardview but there's components/rails in the schematic that is none in my actual board, this is why I'm having problem checking every power rail needed if ok. attached is the photo of my actual board.

I'm not sure if A02 and A08 is really different schematic version from each other, but I have to try....
