Got a WD Elements 1TB (Model WDBAAU0010HBK-01) here which my friend plugged his laptop power adapter (19v) into by accident.
Luckily the HDD itself is OK but the USB-SATA controller board in the external case is now dead.
The IC (U2) right behind the DC jack (see attached photos) has a hole blown in it, and I can't read the number on it properly. Going by the location I assume it's a regulator or DC-DC converter of some kind.
Does anyone have one of these boards etc they can tell me what the part number is for IC U2?
