    Arcade Infrared Emmiter

    Hello,
Not sure if this should go here or not, but this a two part question. Does any one know of a good Arcade Game Forum / Repair Site? Specifically a site that deals with newer arcade games not so much the antiques. Second question is I have an IR Emitter board out of a fairly new Terminator Salvation shooting arcade game and I am trying to figure out how to determine what type and style of IR emitter it has. There are many different types of IR emitters out there varying between angle and voltage. Any input would be great on this folks. The following is the IR Board I am in Question about:

    Raw Thrills
    # 500-00020-02
3 IR LED Board with 3 260 ohm Resistors

    Thank You,

    Craig T

    Try http://www.jammaplus.co.uk/forum/default.asp
there's a Raw Thrills specialist there

There's no such thing as a 260 ohm resistor - they will be miniature inductors.

Terminator gun failure is often due to the idiots issuing cable tie guns to the assemblers who then cut through the wiring.

Emitter resistors in class AB amp board question (total PA bluetooth)(audio IPA69D)
      by Electronic Santa
Would these low ohm resistors make one of your output drivers (TTA5200) have low ohms between collecter and emitter..? It's a total PA Bluetooth board driving 15 inch driver It a NPN PNP output

It had blown outputs so I replaced but this low ohm reading is making me think they will blow again? I couldn't find anything else blown or short I think these low ohm emitter resistors are Messing with me.

1 is showing over 1meg emitter to collector the other looks short diode mode 0.069 and 96ohms

      Is this normal?...

Kermi IRT 10 Towel Dryer Infrared Thermostat

      Hi everyone,

I have a Kermi infrared wireless room thermostat that simply does not function as it should.

The display turns on sporadically or remains completely off. When the display is on, I can use the buttons (rubber domes) and navigate through the menus. Sometimes the display shows plausible text but does not respond to button presses. In other cases, the device is entirely inactive.

After detailed measurements, I found 5V almost everywhere across the board, which indicates a stable power supply. However, the mentioned issues persist.

      Based...

DPA 50S common emitter push-pull schematic
      by kehall
      Hi

I've come across a few emitter-follower/common collector push-pull power amp circuits where NPN / PNP are collector-connected to +ve and -ve respectively, but am working on a repair of a Deltec Precision Audio DPA 50S from circa 1987 where the PNP / NPN power transistors are connected the opposite way (PNP and NPN emitter to +ve and -ve respectively).

The driving circuitry is therefore a bit more complex than I'm used to seeing and it's giving me a brain-block without any schematic to look at... Does anyone have any information that could be of help please?...

Single capacitor replacement on arcade pcb
      by GKdays
I have a damaged capacitor from a bootleg double dragon arcade pcb and I have the normal values from it:

10 volt, 100uF, 85c, but someone from an arcade forum said that the ripple current is not that critical and any good quality low esr cap would be fine, the damaged one is an electrolytic can type but I don't know what to look for as far as low esr is concerned, can a ceramic capacitor be used instead, the capacitor is going to the +5 volt

I don't know the brand but on the top of the capacitor is stamped "76 F6" if there is a datasheet ide be able to...
