I used these for several years , actually until I started on motherboards. For the motherboards, I have used what was suggested here, mainly panasonics fm or fr. I used to buy from allied electronics, but they changed to a $25 minimum order last year, so I have been using digikey mostly. I don't see IC caps posted here, but they have the same ratings as most of the recommended. Are they bad or just not heavily distributed. They do have a nice competitors cross list http://www.illinoiscapacitor.com/Com...iesSearch.aspx which is searched by the maker and then the series. Just asking as I used these in crt tv's and other things with no problems. Just seeing what you guys think of them. I never got into the low esr-high ripple until joining this forum.

Re: Illinois Capacitors, Inc
Well, after digging through some post's, I see that IC is considered a second tier on the capacitor list. I used mainly general purpose before working on motherboards and didn't seem to have any problems. Guess I'll stick with the panny's for the newer tv's and computer stuff.
