    MOSFET 70T03GJ where to buy?

    Hi, all.
I have intel motherboard that was blowing caps. The problem was in a mosfet next to the cap.

The mosfet has 2 lines with info:
    line1 - 70T03GJ
    line 2 - 618086

Tried to find exact one, but all I found was this datasheet

Please help me find a good replacement for this part. Thanks

This data sheet says that it is an "N-channel Enhancement-mode Power MOSFET". There's got to be a number of compatible alternatives. You might want to call the company (DIGIKEY) and have them look up a common part with the same specs.

      UK Ebay - USED:

      http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=170552622359

      Q

[EDIT - Went digging on the shelf and found a ASUS A7VBX-MX mobo that has - 4 - of them on it.

Also has an AMD Duron DHD1600DLV1C 1.6GHz and 256Mb of Infineon DDR333 onboard.

Make me a decent offer on me pulling the transistors and how many, or the whole thing and you handle the pull.

Shipping is from NJ, USA - For USA, figure $10 for the whole board, or $2 for just the transistors.]

if you go to IR (international rectifier)'s site they now have a lookup system.
you put in some other company's part number & it looks up the specs and tells you the best equiv from them.
IR is the most common supplier to the public btw.

@stj - It'd be nice if you'd just give the URL or the search results, which in this case result in no matches.

          @wenter -

Let's have some pics of this blown chip, the area where it was, the caps surrounding it, and the board model number.

The motherboard or the MOSFET didn't/don't "blow caps". It is some underlying problem either in the brand and series of caps, or a bad PSU, for instance.

Most likely the other MOSFET of this set is damaged, as they typically operate as a pair. When one fails, the entire load is transferred to the remaining one. Rule of thumb is you replace them as a pair. I am reluctant to sell you (just) one, if you have not repaired the other problems with the board. You'll put it in and it will fail.

In retrospect, my offer to you was premature. I withdraw it for the time being, until this problem can be more carefully examined.

          Q

BTW - Please fill in your location in your profile. You don't need GPS coordinates, but a country would be nice though.

            Asus GA502D keeps blowing mosfet
            by Scotchmist
I have an Asus GA502D, it had a blown mosfet which I replaced and the laptop booted into windows, a few mins later it shut off, the same mosfet was blown. I thought maybe just a bad mosfet but same thing happened again, a few mins in windows and shuts off.

I have removed the mosfet and can run the laptop no problem

            The MOSFET is FDPC5018SG

Can anyone point me in the direction of what could be the cause of this, could it be the controller rt3663bc?

            Thanks

Help find compatible MOSFET from Asus FA506 DABXBMBAD0
            by Blastsail
I have a coffee damaged asus laptop with shorted mosfet for vram. Trying to find replacement but I am struggling to. Markings are M3966M and I have attached image of mosfet. Schematics are available which say chip is a QM3966M6 but i am unable to find this chip no matter what combination of letters i put in. I can see there exists an m3966m3 chip but this appears to be the wrong size and markings are different.

I have attached schematic as well to help, mosfet is on page 44 of pdf. I do not know where to start to find a compatible mosfet so any help will be greatly appreciated....

How do you test MOSFET in laptops ?
            by Jane
I tried to use this method:

            Testing an N-channel MOSFET:

Step 1: Discharge the Gate (turn off the MOSFET)
Place the black probe (COM) on the Source (S) and the red probe on the Drain (D). The multimeter should show no continuity (high resistance or "OL" – open line).
Then, touch the black probe to the Source (S) and the red probe to the Gate (G). This discharges any stored charge in the Gate, turning the MOSFET off.

Step 2: Charge the Gate (turn on the MOSFET)
Now, place the red probe on the Gate (G) and the black probe on the

How to find the faulty mosfet?
            by madan1
            Hi everyone.
I friend asked me to try to fix his gigabyte ga-x99-ud4 motherboard which is not booting. After some probing, it turned out that the CPU power supply is shorted.. but not only vCore, but cpu +12V also ( the "atx +12v x4" connector ).
Basically almost everything around and under the cpu socket is shorted to ground.
+12V on the ATX 24pin connector seems to be fine. Indeed nothing on the 24pin connector seems to be shorted.

For the vCore rail there are 6x IR3550 mosfets and it looks like everything on them is connected in parallel ( except...
