if the lifepo4 battery has a protection board that emulates SLA then I don't see why not. You may get lower cycle counts (due to possible overcharge) but should mostly work...

Is that the right link? There's no mention of LiFePO4, it only talks about SLA despite the website URL ".../12VDC-Micro-UPS-battery-backup-board-for-12.8V-LiFePO4-/-12V-SLA-battery.aspx"

You can see the board is your usual SLA linear charge controller 1.2A and a 10A power mosfet battery switch.
