    Arium ML4100 Logic Analyzer

I just picked this up used but have no idea how to use a scope yet.
It will be used mostly for tv repair.

    1) It is old but is it a good scope?(came from local school)
    2) Does anyone have a manual?
    3) Does anyone have a guide or training info for beginners?
    4) Does anyone know where i can get all the cables for it?
    5) What would you pay for it used and no cables?

I have access to at least 8 more of these(no cables).
Im told they work but I dont know how to verify that.

    Re: Arium ML4100 Logic Analyzer

This is not a scope, the quick simplified answer is that it gets connected with a PCB of one automation control circuitry, and checks if the programing works as it should.

This is can be called as the grandfather of Arduino.

      Re: Arium ML4100 Logic Analyzer

It is not at all an Arduino, or even similar, in any way.
It is a logic analyser, it measures digital lines, only.

Recover data from Lenovo Thinkpad X1 Carbon 6th Generation w/ USB Logic Analyzer
        by jiraiyaishere
Hi there, apologies I'm a real noob with this sort of stuff so please bear with me:

A week or two ago my laptop randomly started having the Blue Screen of Death and bootloop every time it booted up. So I tried the recovery options while trying to retain the data: the laptop then said you need a Bitlocker Recovery Key. I never selected for the drive to be bitlocker encrypted so this was really weird to me- I have looked through every Microsoft account I own and none of them have the bitlocker recovery key.

After researching I came across this article: https://dolo...

Will I have a bricked logic board after reflow of the GPU v-core U8900 chip on my Mid-2012 15" Retina Macbook pro?
        by korben_dallas
Hi everyone! I'm trying to fix my black screen / failed U8900 GPU v-core on my Mid-2012 Macbook Pro 15" Retinaby doing a rework/reflow of the chip (once I determine that's the real issue; but it likely is).

I've been disabling the GPU in NVRAM for a few years... but it's just time for a better solution.

I'm new to soldering but the only feasible way to fix this issue is to do something myself.

        MY QUESTION:
I've been seeing some people (on this forum mostly) run into issues with the logic board needing a serial number or it being deactivated (?)...

        Logic Board 820-00840-A Missing EDP_BKLT_EN
        by mferna14
Hi dear friends., I am working on a Apple MacBook Pro A1708 , Logic Board 820-00840-A that has no backlight. The logic board powers on fine, but no display. After Checking on the backlight driver chip, I found that the EDP_BKL_EN is missing. And this Power Enable comes from the PCH. So does this means this Logic board cannot be repaired & brought back to life again? The resistance from GRD to the test point of EDP_BKL_EN is around is 0.66M ohms. R8442 (0ohms) is ok. Any suggestion/Tip if any would really appreciate.

        Logic Board 820-01987-A missing PP3V3_S5
        by mferna14
Hi good Friends., today working on a Macbook Pro A2289, Logic board 820-01978-A. The history was liquid spill, Cleaned & replaced all corroded components & now the logic board shows 20v & .01amp on the meter. Not taking in any amps. Upon trouble shooting I get the required stable voltages 5V, PP3V3_G3H 3.3V but no PP3V3_S5. Checked the schematic, assume that this is generated from U7800. Checked all the Input/Output voltages on this chip. All is fine, except PP3V3_S5 is missing. Resistance from GND to PP3V3_S5 is 146 Kohms. First I need to make sure whether PP3V3_S5 is generated from...

Apple 820-01958-A logic board stuck on 5V .19amp
        by mferna14
Hi friends, working on a MacBook Air A2179 logic board 820-01958-A logic board. It's just stuck on 5V .19amp on one USB-port & then when I use to the other port it's also stuck on 5V .19amp but on this port it resets after few secs & start over with the same said voltage. I assumed that one of the CD3217B12s is defective, & replaced both with known good ICs. The status & result remains the same. I checked for shorts or liquid spill, all clear. On F8400 there is 12v present, but no 5V or 3.3 volts. There are LDO voltages on the both CDs 3.2v & 1.5V. Kindly if someone can help...
