New reviews about industrial multimeters at ITTSB.eu

    Hi friends,

In my new website about multimeter reviews for the professional repair man electrician and engineers, recently I have upload fresh reviews about known and less widely known multimeters.

I have the awareness that this forum is more about electronics, even so you I am inviting you to visit my website.
Possibly, you could find as interesting the different view points of one industrial electrician when it comes down to multimeter reviews.

Every review haves one enormous amount of text and photo galleries at the end of its page.

    Regards,
    Kiriakos Triantafillou – Greece

The EEV belongs to the past, I was part of it but not any more.

My first two reviews are all revised with fresh info, especially for the U1272A.

Why not? What made you become disenchanted with them? I still watch his stuff pretty often. He's a bit presumptuous, but most of his videos are at least mildly entertaining.

Or it could be the other way around.
Now days I am thankful to them, I got the push to unstuck and to create something truly fresh, with my name on it.

EEV is a business, and everything is related with profit.
My discoveries comes from Taiwan, and they do spoil the soup.

NO POST Nightmare - DFI G7L330-B Industrial Motherboard Socket 775
                by techpointhull
                Hi Guys,

Newbie here to board repair so bare with me. I have a bunch of Socket 775 motherboards from arcade gaming machines. The brand is DFI, and it's their industrial motherboard range model number G7L330-B

All boards have the same issue, no POST. I've re-capped the boards completely, can't see any shorts across the 12V rail and I've removed all MOSFETS from the board to test them. The boards have been ultrasonic cleaned as well as an alcohol bath, doesn't seem to have made a difference

BIOS is also correct, I do have a working board for reference...

Was testing to see if a bug zapper grid voltage (=< 2800VDC) had discharged yet. Set meter to highest range (1000 VDC) and probed across the grid. Heard an audible arc so voltage must have discharged into something in the front end of the meter. Now all functions that use the V-Ohm/Com input just reads "OL" (over range). Even the continuity test with the probes shorted reads OL with no beep. Opened it up and found input resistor R31 47 ohms, completely open. Replaced with new resistor but meter still reads "OL". The low battery icon on the display is visible even...

I just bought a used one for a decent price for a used device it prints very nicely and clean and clearly so I am not going to complain about it but I would like to get it working again anyone have any suggestions on how to repair this back light

If I can not get the controller to work properly then I will probably have an external power supply for the backlight because it is difficult to see the screen without out it
