    Anatek Peak DCA55 semiconductor analyser

    Finally got my meter from E-bay for about sixty bucks delivered. Much better than the one hundred fifty or so they wanted originally. Sure am glad I got a deal, 'cause it can't recognize a voltage regulator, thinks it's a couple of LEDs. Hell, that's why I got it, those little regs look just like transistors!
    It did recognize a darlington, npn, and pnp transistors, and a mosfet.
    The really cute part is you can hook up a component any which way, and it will tell you which leg is which, a real help for me.

      Mine is an Atlas, same unit I think.

          I have one of these. Great unit! Very handy both for testing, and identifying devices and pinouts.
          $150? I thought they were about $65 new?
          36 Monitors, 3 TVs, 4 Laptops, 1 motherboard, 1 Printer, 1 iMac, 2 hard drive docks and one IP Phone repaired so far....

              I still have the ad I printed from AnaTek Corporation, john@anatek.mv.com selling the ESR 60 for $179, the LC40 for $159 plus extra for the tweezers, clips, and carry case, and $159 for the DCA55, plus shipping. Too much.
              It identified an LED for me, showed anode, cathode, specs. Very helpful.

                  The SMD code is AB5IB. It's a SOT-23 component (or similar).

                  I tried to decode this component on every site I could find (SMD Code Book, etc.) with no success.
                  Does anybody know what this component is? I have 2 of them on the board, and both give the same readings. I used DMM, as well as PEAK Atlas DCA75 Pro Advanced Semiconductor Component Analyser.

                  Atlas says that NO COMPONENT IS DETECTED (both of them). Usually, it can detect ALL types of transistors, including Darlingtons, MOSFET, BJT, JFET, etc., Volt Regs, Diodes, etc. If...

                  Hi, I'm looking for a schematic and/or boardview for a Dell Latitude 5530. The motherboard is marked "South Peak 15 MLK MB DDR4, 203102-1, FK8VG$LA" I think it's the i5 12th Gen. I'm trying the similar 5520 schematic, but things are shifted around, making it a bit tough for me to find things. This might not be the place to discuss the issue, it shows no life. It consumes 5V1A when plugged into the USB-C charger. Main rail is present at 16.75V, and 4.2V is present at some locations. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

                  B1186A Digital Transistor?

                  Hi guys
                  I have this power transistor, it's taken from a Class G Power Amplifier. I already found two short circuit diodes on the Faulty Channel, but I decided to remove the other transistors and test them.

                  They all test OK but this one is marked B1186A and on my Peak DCA55 it analyzes as a PNP Digital Transistor (which I believe is a transistor with integral base resistor) but if it is a 2SB1186A then it should detect as a regular PNP Transistor.

                  Having said that I put it in my LCR-4T semiconductor analyzer and that just says it is a PNP Transistor.
