    42" HP plasma

I got this tv to try and see if I could fix it. When it is turned on the screen starts out black then develops spots that expand to cover the screen and will not find a display source that is supplied.

the panel isn't cracked but might have the power source for it might be shot, or a leak of the fluid in the screen might be the problem, I don't know.

There are no fluid in a plasma panel it is vacuum with bit of mercury vapor in there.

Without casting aspersions on your intelligence, I have noticed some people have problems distinguishing between Plasma, LCD, and DLP displays. (Recently someone was trying to sell a "42' LCD plasma TV with DLP".) Posting the Model number will go a long way toward eliminating confusion.

To my inexperienced eye, the problem looks more like a cracked LCD panel than any fault possible with a plasma panel.

the back panal states it is a plasma, and the whole fills in with the staticy picture, unlike a cracked screen the will only show the screen until the crack.

Checked the model #, is plasma panel. Way it looked, confirm you have correct voltages as it is marked ont he panel itself on the power supply and the two side boards between the power supply. You have digital multimeter?

If correct, panel lost it's gases/vacuum.

Macbook 2017 with touchbar (A1706) won't turn on after removing the screen
                    by Ryan.man
Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...

Panasonic Plasma TH-50PZ85U No screen No blinks on red power light
                    by Alicat
                    Hello,

Stopped by this site trying to fix my parents Panasonic Plasma TV.

                    Model number is TH-50PZ85U

Power comes on and the red power light stays on solid.

Did a few checks like hold the power button on for 60 seconds, hold the - Volume while holding the menu button, no luck, still@ blank grey screen as the screen lights up very vague.

I also hear a few clicks.

I also think my parents said there was a thunderstorm and the TV failed after that.

Section 6 in the service manual talks about power and no screen,...

iphone XS turns off when press on screen.
                    by smic717394
                    Hi,

I have a iphone XS that came in for a screen replacement, the screen was badly cracked, and inside missing scues, on the back of the screen still the blue protector, the screen was a LCD. So we replaced the screen and all good, installed the screen and we noticed that pressing the screen with a bit of force but not excessive, the phone dies. After plugging the charger it turns back on, but again if you press it it dies. I open the phone again, and I can't see anything major, with the phone open, if I press on the logic board, battery, charging board, or even putting pressure on...

Panasonic Plasma screen interference on left half of screen
                    by Zelek11
My Panasonic Plasma model P55VT50 has started displaying "interference" on just the left half of the screen only (left when facing the screen). Sometimes it's concentrated in about the first 30 seconds after startup, then disappears. Other times it's fine at startup and then randomly does it later on. When it flashes the interference it's very quick and doesn't stay on the screen unless it flashes repeatedly in a row.

This image is a screen shot from a video I took. This is an example of the interference at its worst. Often the interference is much smaller...

                    Samsung UE55JU6800K half screen dark
                    by Chrissygizmo
Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same...
