the back panal states it is a plasma, and the whole fills in with the staticy picture, unlike a cracked screen the will only show the screen until the crack.Leave a comment:

the panel isn't cracked but might have the power source for it might be shot, or a leak of the fluid in the screen might be the problem, I don't know.Leave a comment:

42" HP plasma
I got this tv to try and see if I could fix it. When it is turned on the screen starts out black then develops spots that expand to cover the screen and will not find a display source that is supplied.... -
42" akai lcd
Just starting in this field of repairs. I got this tv to try and see if I could repair it. When it is turned on it will search for a display source and finds the pc vga that i'm supplying to it. The screen comes up and has a good picture, but then starts to pulse with short brighter bursts. Has anyone run into this problem and can direct me where to start looking. -
42" tvs
I have two problems, #1 a 42" hp plasma tv that starts black and develops white clouds that expand to fill the tv and bring up the screen, #2 42" akai lcd tv that pulses.
