have tried with another t con.

how do you do the tape cut off with 4 cables coming from the tcon

pics where u get white screen and lines is where one set of the tcon cables going to the lcd have been removed.

can you isolate which side is causing this?

To block the lines you must follow tcon serigraphs, clock markings especially, post a decent tcon picture, no flash only sun light

i don't find much on the component side, is there any test point on the under side?

These should be the clock lines highlighted, use continuity test to track to which pins they lead from the t-con cable, then block them with tape, for utmost precision, you would remove the resistors one by one until you figure out which signal is causing this.

The clock lines don't trace back to the tcon..

I will double check again tomorrow, late and bad lighting

But i couldn't trace them back..
may have to just try removing the resistors and see that way maybe

At least one side traces obviously to that ic next to them, I saw that but in all TVs I remember they came from the t-con instead, and it's easier and much less damaging to block the signal in the cable if possible.

For the other side it then must go into some other ic into the board.

This screen design is slight different from the others, i have understood how is, the clock signals in the low voltage versions (CPV1...2...) starts.from the tcon and arrive onto the distribution boards into the square chip or the other one, in this the clocks are level shifted towards the panel, it is possible some gate drivers gone bad but if i remember the photos there are not the most typical signs, there is a possibility the level shifter chip is bad, one of the two in the sides.. replacing this is a waste of time for me cause the only few.you.will find on the market are bad parts, i'm experiencing the same situation... to ensure this you must probe with.scope.or frequency meter the output clocks on the biruslapio photo, compare between them

Sony KD-65x8500b - bad Tcon or panel?
                            by rimwall
Hi, hoping for some views on this one which I've not come across before. The TV generates an image that has 12 noticeable bands across it. The image is still there and accurate, but the colour (or perhaps the brightness) changes gradually across each band which creates a noticeable 'step change' at the edge of each band. Given it's a 4K TV with 2160 rows of pixels, I'm guessing the 12 bands correspond to 12 gate drivers of 180 rows each. If this guess is right, then perhaps:
                            a) all the gate drivers are malfunctioning the same way (which seems unlikely), or
                            b) the Tcon board is malfunctioning,...

Sony KD-65A1 Repair – 4 Red Blinks Error
                            by AK_777
                            Hi everyone!
I have a Sony KD-65A1 TV with a fault – 4 red LED blinks. After disassembly and visual inspection, I found that the G76 power board and DKA board had been replaced. It is also possible that TCON was replaced, but I am not sure – there are a few marker marks that could be factory-made.

Based on assumptions, the previous service attempted to solve the issue by replacing potentially faulty components. I decided to investigate further, found a service manual, and figured out a way to power up the power supply unit autonomously and put the OLED panel and...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                            by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

General Questions on the Relationship Between Mainboard, TCON and Panel
                            by mmartell
My goal here is to be able to use boards on hand to swap into faulty sets when the faulty board is not obvious.

I will start by asking what is the format of the output from the mainboard and is it generic in any way or does it vary by manufacturer and/or model ?

And as far as I know a tcon and panel must be a matching pair because the timing of the signals and the voltages required to drive the panel are specific to the panel itself. (That may be a blanket statement that isn't true in some cases where the panel creates its own sub-voltages on its panel boards?)...
