    Yiboyuan SS-3 universal charger

Bought this from eForChina and as always I like to see whats inside. I'm going to try to make a board for it myself with charging management ic and just keep the housing.

The back cover actually says 'forbid not to recharge the battery' hehe

The white powersupply came with the charger, as you can see under the 'Made In China' sticker is a Samsung logo and it's 'Mode in P.R.C'

The AC pins in just pressed in and hold firm by the plastic housing, they are not soldered to the board and I could pull them out.

I would not say quite bad, it is really bad.

Hehe yes, bad choice of words on my part.
It looks like they used wave soldering with some parts manually placed and soldered.

Does charger board sens + - by itself ? I see no polarity marking for pogo pins.

                Re: Yiboyuan SS-3 universal charger

The Yiboyuan charger terminates charging at 4.266V - a little higher then expected.

just wound up with some of those from ebay.
sold as oem originals.seller was mayunstore.
funny they dont say samsung on them like the ones in the pics.probably to avoid customs confiscation LOL.
while the one you have has a cutout on the board for isolation most will fail hipot at 500v or less.2 blew up at 1 amp.rated 2a.
at 600ma it was out of usb specs.
                  total garbage!

You might know this, but a number of things can include a bit of "engrish" in the price!
I think covering up the Samsung logo with a "Made in China" sticker is most likely a way to try to avoid detection by Customs as a counterfeit.
