    SONY KDL-32BX300 fault help

    Hi guys:my friend brought me this Sony KDL 32BX300 and this fault seems to a Synchro fault see video the sound is not from the tv .

    Hi guys you have not even a clue?,i opened it up and don't see any bad caps,i checked the converter board caps and all good ,this is a sync issue in old tubes that was the vertical IC on this ones have no idea

      I have never seen that fault before. if this was my set i was working on i would try a mainboard swap if its a reasonable price.

        Thanks bro i have the board out and will check it out ,about getting another board,there are none cheap,the cheapest is 45 bucks and out of stock,will look in my scrap, maybe i have any who knows,i have a lot of boards,will see,thanks

          im not sure if its possible a firmware fault could cause this? does heating or freezing the mainboard change what your seeing on the screen

            Hard to tell, I would try a firmware update/reapply, if for nothing else just to rule it out.

              Hi guys update about Sony KDL-32BX300,i took out main board and went through all caps and did not find none bad,so i put board in place and turned tv on and tv doesn't have the sync issue no more it works fine on all inputs ,go figure,

                    May be board mounting screws are not tight so it get bad ground connections between the boards and the chassis. Keep an eye on them.
