                          Thanks also..

And sharing a personal MultiMeter trick to help others..

File/Sand down your MultiMeter probes (ends/tips) to a very small and fine needle tip [not only useful but critically necessary] when testing SMD [surface mount] components like on Laptop Motherboards.

I myself just use my Harbor Freight version of a Dremel with a flat griding/sanding disc, and then hold the multimeter probe almost flat on the sanding disc while turning [with your fingers] the meter probe in a circular mother to evenly sand the probe tip..

Hope this helps others and never having seen anyone mention this tactic, I'm suggesting it to others. For myself, decades ago, this was my Instant, Cheap and easy solution to the DMM probe tips being too large..

though I have another trick, similarly related which is useful for other purposes..

Take a PAPERCLIP, unbend it and straighten it out, then bend it around, over and over, the metal end of the DMM probe then using needle nose pliers, when you have about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch remaining, you can bend the paper clip at a 90 degree angle, close to the metal dmm probe, so that effectively 'extending' the metal probe.

So the end result is not only 'thinner' DMM Probe Tip(s) but a LONGER probe tip length to reach into deeper areas.

And don't forget to slide a piece or two of HeatShrink tubing over the 'new' metal paperclip probe tip, right up to the end [aka pointy tip] of the probe to insulate and protect against shorting things accidently when using the new probe..

                                    Hey everyone,

I'm currently working on a mid-70s Sharp Electronic Digital Clock Radio, Model FY-70CH. I found the service manual online, printed it out, and have been studying it for a while. My main reasons for tackling this are: (1) I want to learn electronics and figured I'd start with something I had on hand, and (2) I want to fix its issues. Right now, the radio sounds awful, has about 5V DC at the speaker terminals, and the alarm time setting doesn't work. But I'm not asking how to fix these problems.

Instead, here's what's been bugging me so far:
                                    The schematic...

Ii wonder if anyone can help me. I have a Acer x163w monitor which is not powering up. The PSU main capacitor's one leg had completly come off - I replaced it but the PSU is still not outputting DC. I found the monitor in questions service manual here on manuals lib but the schematic in there is a completely different - the schematic shows no mosfet to drive the transformer while the one I have does use a mosfet - also the schematic shows only one optocoupler but mine has two.
The PSU board is labelled FM-20A02-AAA made by APD as per the image below. I am trying to find a schematic for this...

Hi guys, I'm working on a MSI Ventus RTX 4080 16G. The GPU has 12v, 5v, however what I assume is the 1.8v rail has 1.1v and what I assume to be PEX is 0v. As you may have guessed already there is no Vmem and no Vcore.

I have looked around in related forum posts for a schematic so Much appreciated if anyone can share a Broadview schematic.

                                    Thanks.
