    Delta AC-106A (Dell P/N 00G8CN) DC-DC converter repurposing

This unit from a Dell PowerEdge R320/R420 has +3.3V/22A and +5V/22A DC-DC converters (one for each rail) which is a good candidate for conversion to a 12V input ATX PSU.
Diagrams of required modifications regarding starting of the DC-DC converters is included with code at http://github.com/brycecherry75/ServerPSUtoATX which mentions required pullup/pulldown resistor placements and if required, simple level translators in the sketch.

    How to test protections:
Overvoltage: Short (3.3V/5V)OVP pad to TEST_SGND
Undervoltage: Short (3.3V/5V)UVP to its respective TEST_(3.3V/5V) pad

You got 12VDC output without rewinding the transformer?

I used a server PSU with a +12V output as an input with this output being switched along with the +3.3/+5V DC-DC converters.

I couldn't quite understand the project because I don't know servers using 12V power. Used to ATX from mains power.
It looks like you modded the Power_OK signal and there is even a sketch which looked as a really nice way to generate it instead of the usual mess of many comparators and fudging that in the power supply.

Dell E6400 PT434 type Battery Charging Stuck at 1%. Battery Pinouts?
          by Bowline
My question pertains to understanding the control circuity inside a Dell PT434 type battery used in Dell E6400, E6410 and other Dell notebooks?

Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the inside of a Dell PT434 battery and/or a description of how the control lines work to control this battery?

My reason for asking is I have a battery which I cannot get to charge beyond 1% in a Dell E6410 or E6400.
The LED bar graph charge indicator on the battery shows one LED lighted when the info button is pressed.
I have tried multiple different Dell power adapters. My Dell...

Dell D635EF DELTA DPS-635AB PSU with blown TNY280PN
          by Dynamite76
Recently I got a DELL PSU from a presision T3600. It is a 635W PSU which went out with a bang and some black smoke. The model of the PSU is a D635EF made by DELTA.

The cause of the bang was a blown. TNY280PN Chip. How ever as a result or as a causo also two SMD resistors are smoked. I have been able to replace the TNY280 Chip but I do not know the values of the resistors. The resistors are within the Drain line of the TNY. I can not find the schematic of this PSU. THe resistor are Open Loop and on the voltage accross them is about 330V. (EU)

          Any suggestions for...

Dell Latitude 5420 does not start (no post) need help to find the reason why
          by F R 2568
          Hello all,

this is my first post, so if I make mistakes please do not hesitate to point them out, thank you in advance.

I got a Dell Latitude 5420 (Service Tag: 7RFM6D3, Motherboard: GDF40 LA-491P Rev.: 2.0 (A01)) which does not start and I want to repair it. These are the symptoms:

If the laptop is only connected to the AC adapter (battery removed):

When I press the power button, the keyboard backlight and the display backlight are turning on. Caps key light is lightning, but key does not respond to pressing it.

          The power/battery...

          Looking for Dell Latitude 5520 / 5530 / 5540 RJ45 network connector replacement
          by diamon
I have a Dell Latitude 5530 with a damaged RJ45 network connector. See the attached pictures.

Have already searched on Farnell / Aliexpress / Ebay and had contact with several suppliers on Aliexpress and Ebay, but they cannot deliver this connector.
Is there someone inside the EU, who has these connector(s) or perhaps defective motherboard(s) for these laptop models I have mentioned in the topic title.
