That it does, but:

1) There will never be Mac OS with ads on the PPC simply because there won't be a new Mac OS at all for the PPC. The PPC is dead to Apple.

2) "Install Linux" in most cases is a much harder task on PPC than on x86. No ads is better, but most people will simply stick with OSX simply because installing Linux really is too hard on PPC.

admittedly thats an issue, but its better than nothing. what if your mac disc gets pulled out by a 2-year-old and scratced to death? for that matter, even a windows cd. uh-oh, unless you find an uncracked/unhacked torrent then you are screwed. time to "pay up sucker!"

but with linux, all you do is re-download, burn, and you're set!

If my disk goes bad, I'll just go over to my other computer and burn another from an image stored on the hard drive. Problem solved.

Never use the original.

To replace a windows CD just go to Computer store and ask for a copy :P

No its free i got one from the computer store here in chilliwack i didnt have to pay for it its just a burned copy i dont see why you would have to pay for it.

if someone can sell pirated windows of all versions in the open at 3 big hamfests namely dayton,findlay,and ft wayne 4 years in a row i doubt anyone will care about the psuedo legal stuff most folks do on a daily basis.
but it takes huge brass balls to pirate in the open like that.
i watched suits swoop down on some counterfied windows seller at a big swapmeet a few years back.place called 5 o clock computers.
they also got busted selling counterfiet microsoft products to the u.s government.
talk about stupid!
